I actually want to see the potential behind 90's characters & see them developped instead of shunned because they can bring fresh concept to the table. but don't worry whenever I disagree, I never insult the fellow fan but just the issue at hand.
Stil this issue should be called how to write the Joker! If you're going to print 100,000 comics, you damn sure better be sure you're going to sell most of them, or else you're screwed! That's why a comic like Marvel Zombies #1(which I own!)which came out in 2006 is worth as much as $60 already, while X-Men #1, which came out in 1991 is the same as it's cover price, if not less. Marvel Zombies #1 was released in a small number because Marvel didn't expect it to sell well, and since the quantity is small, that issue is in high demand among collectors.

Poor George Forman! You'd have the Jason Todd Grill in a store window and Big George would walk by thinking, "Huh, that's a really good idea!". Of course I'd go back in time with all of these awesome futuristic gadgets, and the government would probably lock me in some little unknown prison somewhere demanding to know where I got these awesome items from!x-man75https://www.blogger.com/profile/10292719455945603075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-8468399726823901772010-01-09T04:26:03.584-05:002010-01-09T04:26:03.584-05:00Wow that's a hell of alot of information, I ca...Wow that's a hell of alot of information, I can't believe I didn't know it. So due to Marvel being greedy and mass producing stuff until it became worthless they almost went outta business. That's crazy. And it also spawned DC's death of Superman and Bane breaking Bat's back...which sadly resulting in neither Doomsday and Bane doing nothing notable since...

Lol I gotta say we're in the same boat, I'd go back and patent stupid things everyone bought like George Foreman grills and definitely buy a bunch of stock like you mentioned. If you went back in time 20 years with a Blu-Ray an Ipod and a laptop you could rule the world dude.Jason Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796190974001777556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-26429315187744207642010-01-09T00:49:44.167-05:002010-01-09T00:49:44.167-05:00Wow, really? If not for the first Spider-Man movi...Wow, really? If not for the first Spider-Man movie, who knows, maybe we wouldn't even be having this conversation, because there's a real chance Marvel could have folded in the mid-late 90's, and I wouldn't have ever started reading Marvel books again.

It all began in the early 90's, with Spider-Man #1 by Todd Mcfarlane(the Spawn dude). That comic sold like CRAZY. It was mainly picked up by comic book speculators(who only brought comics in order to resell them down the road when they were worth tons of money, like Uncanny #1). Marvel thought, wow, people must love buying #1 issues, so they released X-Force #1 and X-Men #1 in quick succession. The problem was that all Marvel cared about was selling as many of these books as possible, so they printed CRAZY numbers of these series. Since there were SO many of these comics available, they obviously will never become collectors items, and as such, they'll never be worth jack. That's why a comic like Uncanny #1 or Action #1 is worth so much money, because they're rare finds. Since Marvel was selling insane amounts of these #1 issues(thanks to the speculators)they kept pushing out new #1 issues, as well as "special" issues with holographic covers and stuff. Eventually the speculators realized that the comics they had brought were practically worthless because everybody had a copy, so they stopped buying Marvel's special comics. Marvel, being greedy, kept printing their books in really high numbers, but without the speculators there to buy them up, they were losing money like crazy; think of it like this, you can't make money by printing say 1,000,000 comics, but only selling 50,000 of them. On top of that, Marvel was being run by some scumbag Wall Street type who was only interested in making money, and could care less about producing good comics, which led to many of the really talented writers/artists back in the day to leave Marvel for greener pastures. I could keep going, but that's the gist of it. DC was also pulled into this mess, because when the speculators were buying up Marvel Comics in great numbers, they were also buying special DC books as well, which is why DC "killed" Supes in the 90's and broke Bruce, because they knew the speculators would buy insane amounts of those issues, but once again, with so many of those books available, they won't ever really go up in price. Trust me, I could keep going(I've always been facinated with the way the comic book industry works), but I'll leave it at that.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back in time and play the stock market man! I'd buy all of Microsoft's stock once they went public! Plus I could bet mad money on sports events since I know the outcome! It's for that reason(and many others)Rip Hunter would never ask me to help him fix time. :-(x-man75https://www.blogger.com/profile/10292719455945603075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-79574897871041370852010-01-08T12:49:53.641-05:002010-01-08T12:49:53.641-05:00Nah, It won't bore me at all, I never even kne...Nah, It won't bore me at all, I never even knew Marvel had bankruptcy troubles, please continue.

Ouch...See if I had a time machine I'd go back and grab that and Action Comics One. My heart will always be with Marvel, I grew up exclusively reading Marvel books, but for the past 2 years, I've got to admit, I definitely prefer DC to Marvel. The world is a tstrange place my friend!

See, I missed out on the phone poll thing because of my still missing comic order! I kind of like the idea of JT on the Outsiders as well... 'd def have Geo-Force leading the squad, but you could have JT there always saying things like, "You know, when I was Robin we'd do things this way" or constantly questioning Geo's authority. That actually sounds pretty sweet...

Oh man, the X-fans are the frigging worst!!! If you write ANYTHING negative about one of the x-titles(Astonishing, Uncanny or X-Men Legacy)get ready for holy hell to break loose! I've heard it all, but one of my all-time favorites was from this dude who wouldn't stop defending a particularly bad issue of X-Men Legacy... He insulted my writing, what I thought about the comic, my opinion, everything! The funniest thing about it was the fact that his name was "Mike", which coincidentally is the same first name as Legacy's writer. I was like, this dude MUST be the comic book writer, because why else would he be SO pissed about my opinion!x-man75https://www.blogger.com/profile/10292719455945603075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-3314730403137840462010-01-01T10:33:55.422-05:002010-01-01T10:33:55.422-05:00Lol yeah, I knew him from the Arkham boards, he...Lol yeah, I knew him from the Arkham boards, he's a fan they made into a Moderator for some odd reason...but yeah that dude friggin loves Grant Morrison. I still hated that Jason was The Red Hood again like...the first time it's a surprise but the second time it just seemed like overkill. Jason joining the Outsiders....That's not a bad idea except the Outsiders currently suck with the exception of Geo-Force and both of those guys are leaders so who'd lead?

What insulting posts have you gotten from pissed off fanboys?Jason Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796190974001777556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-46838183387157206422010-01-01T01:36:25.943-05:002010-01-01T01:36:25.943-05:00Wait, somebody actually sent that to you? I liked the idea of Jason becoming the satan Batman for Dr. Hurt now that Hurt can't defeat Bruce, but he can destroy his legacy by corrupting the Robins. >: ) I also had the idea of someday maybe Jason Todd could get a rehab on his violence and join Batman's black ops team, the Outsiders.Jason Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796190974001777556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006976666899639596.post-56858220965185244202009-12-31T00:16:46.004-05:002009-12-31T00:16:46.004-05:00True!
