Action Comics #436(June 1974)

Yeah that's right, once Perry White had the powers of Superman. Deal with it!

Connor Hawke: Dragon's Blood #5(May 2007)

Taking on a giant fire breathing dragon armed only with a bow and arrows? PROBABLY not the best idea...

Annihilation Prologue #1(May 2006)

Thanos is always awesome, even when he's wearing whatever that is he's wearing.

Marvel 1602: New World #1(Oct. 2005)

You know, if Hulk spoke like this all the time, I might just begin to read his series...

Nova #1(June 2007)

Further evidence of the awesomeness that is Nova.

Runaways #1(April 2005)

Hm, this scene really makes me realize how much I miss Chamber... We get Psylocke and Dazzler back in Uncanny X-Men, but not Chamber??? Where's the justice?

Maverick #1(Jan.1997)

Ugh, I can't believe Omega Red's dialogue here!

X-Force Annual #2(1993)

Hey, it's Adam-X, the "first" third Summers brother!

X-Men Annual #1(1992)

Is it just me or does it look like Apocalypse is just about ready to bust out some really melodramatic speech here?

Uncanny X-Men Annual #16(1992)

Can somebody explain why Wolverine is even in this scene? I get why Jean, Scott and Hank are there, but Logan? Don't Warren and Logan hate each other as it is? Jeez, Wolvie just has to show up everywhere, doesn't he?

Young Justice: The Secret #1(June 1998)

Young Justice, the best team ever? I'm not sure about that, but they were definitely the best team of teenage heroes ever assembled.

X-Men Unlimited #1(June 1993)

Ah how I miss this Cyclops. This was the Scott Summers I was such a fan of back when I was still a kid.

Thunderbolts #1(April 1997)

To this day, I think the revelation that the Thunderbolts were secretly the Masters of Evil was the greatest shock ending in Marvel Comics history.

New Warriors Annual #4(1994)

Ah the New Warriors... They really deserved a better fate then the one they received during the awful Civil War storyline.

The Punisher: The End #1(June 2004)

This comic was beyond a shadow of a doubt the best Punisher story I've ever read. Hell, I'll go even further and say this was probably one of the best stand alone comic books I've EVER read.

What If #42(Dec. 1983)

Annihilus' reaction to Reed's threat may just be the funniest thing I've EVER seen in a comic book... "I'll run!"?!? You have GOT to be kidding me!!!

Darkhawk #1(March 1991)

Man was I a huge fan of Darkhawk back in the day. Then again, I'm still a huge fan of Darkhawk.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Friends and Enemies #1(Jan. 1995)

Remember when Speedball was, you know, funny? Ah, those were the days...

War Machine #19(Oct. 1995)

What the bloody HELL is Hawkeye wearing in this scene?

Avengers #193(March 1980)

Don't you just love the way old school villains tend to reveal all of their criminal acts at the drop of a hat?

Sins of Youth: Batboy and Robin #1(May 2000)

Just to set the scene, Bruce Wayne is Robin and Tim Drake is Batman here. In light of recent DC events, I thought this conversation was pretty interesting.

West Coast Avengers #1(Sept. 1984)

Ah yes, the birth of the West Coast Avengers. I really miss the good old days...

Captain America #180(Nov. 1974)

And now we all know why the Captain America uniform doesn't have a cape!

All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder #2(Nov. 2005)

Yes, I know I'm in the minority, but I LOVE All Star Batman and Robin.

Kingdom Come TPB(1996)

Has there ever been a better comic book artist than Alex Ross? Don't worry, you don't have to answer that, I already know the answer.

The Champions Classic Volume 2 TPB(2007)

I absolutely LOVE the old 1970's dialogue here... From Hercules, to the pedestrians, this scene is a real laugh!

Saturday, October 17, 2009

Starman: Grand Guignol TPB(2004)

Ah how I love super-villains... They're so predictable! All you have to do is wait a while and sure enough, they'll tell you their entire plan!

Exiles: Legacy TPB(2002)

Don't ask me why I posted this scene...

Superman: The Man of Steel #19(Jan. 1993)

No matter what you think about DC's decision to have the unknown Doomsday "kill" Superman, you have to admit that the Superman-Doomsday battle was undeniably epic.

Spyboy #11(Aug. 2000)

Spyboy; my favorite Dark Horse comic series.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Weapon X #6(April 2003)

I'd forgotten just how good this series was...

Millennium #5(1987)

I love the thought that goes through Bats head here.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Millennium #5(1987)

This is possibly the best out of context scene I've ever posted on this blog! I don't know what's better, Superman's surprised expression or the almost smug look on Batman's face.

Millennium #6(1987)

Booster Gold vs. Guy Gardner!?! That's practically a dream match-up!

Captain Marvel #58(Sept. 1978)

Wow, way to sell Adam Warlock out Cap!

Avengers West Coast #68(March 1991)

Since I've always hated Wonder Man, I'll admit that seeing Grim Reaper beat the tar out of him definitely puts a smile on my face!

Monday, October 12, 2009

Green Lantern: Rebirth TPB(2004)

Even though he's wearing that awful elf outfit, Sinestro is still awesome!

Batman and Son TPB(2007)

I feel weird even typing this, but Damian seems almost likable in this scene...

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Solo Avengers #11(Oct. 1988)

Bobcat and his Claws??? Even by 1980's standards that's lame!

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Uncanny X-Men #453(Feb. 2005)

Well, now we all know the answer to Nightcrawler's question is a resounding yes!

Annihilation Conquest: Starlord #1(Sept. 2007)

Here's a scan from one of my more obscure comic books.

Friday, October 9, 2009

Marvel Knights Spider-Man #20(Jan. 2006)

Do you remember the "Spider-Man: The Other" storyline? If you don't consider yourself lucky!

Green Arrow: Year One #3(Oct. 2007)

I just finished up this great mini-series last night, so I figured I'd post something from it while it's still fresh on my mind.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Teen Titans #35(June 2006)

You know, sometimes I REALLY have to wonder about Robin...

Teen Titans #34(May 2006)

I'll ask once again, why Blue Beetle a member of the Teen Titans, and yet Ravager isn't?

Impulse #50(July 1999)

Since I have my Impulse comics out, I figured I'd post some pics from what was probably my favorite issue of the entire series, Impulse and Batman vs the Joker.
