Superbat and Not-So-Superman

This is from one of my favorite stories, Superman/Batman "Superbat", I'd definitely recommend it, you see what happens when Superman finally becomes human, and Batman gets his Kryptonian powers.

The Random Scan of the Week!

Only in comic books can you tell somebody, TO THEIR FACE, that you said nice things about them at their funeral!

Superman and Lois Lane.

Green Arrow #101(Oct. 1995)

And this was Ollie's last appearance... Until he came back to life a few years later.

DCU Holiday Special #1(Feb. 2009)

Wow Santa, you've certainly changed a bit since last year...

Impulse #47(April 1999)

Wow, how very Batman-esque of Superman...

Secret Origins #35(1988)

The Superman Actionline?!? Really? I almost can't belive this was real... $2 for the first minute and 45 cents for each additional minute?!? Jeez, back in 1988, you could buy almost three comics for a two minute call! Crazy...

Superman #77(March 1993)

Oh yeah, even with that awful 90's look he had going, Lex Luthor was STILL the man!

Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2(1994)

Doomsday can take Darkseid in a fight? Really?!?

Adventures of Superman #516(Sept. 1994)

Great first impression there Clark...

Wonder Woman #219(Sept. 2005)

I'm not sure what I like more here, Wonder Woman's utter lack of any emotion as she kills Maxwell Lord, or Superman's wide-eyed look of shock.

Action Comics #436(June 1974)

Yeah that's right, once Perry White had the powers of Superman. Deal with it!

Superman: The Man of Steel #19(Jan. 1993)

No matter what you think about DC's decision to have the unknown Doomsday "kill" Superman, you have to admit that the Superman-Doomsday battle was undeniably epic.

Millennium #5(1987)

I love the thought that goes through Bats head here.

Millennium #5(1987)

This is possibly the best out of context scene I've ever posted on this blog! I don't know what's better, Superman's surprised expression or the almost smug look on Batman's face.

Flash #140(Aug. 1998)

Can anybody please explain to me why Mirror Master and Capt. Boomerang were at the funeral of Wally West's wife Linda? Anybody???

Return of Superman TPB

Well, this is kind of a picture of Cyborg Superman and Steel together...(sadly Kello, this was the best Cyborg Superman/Steel scene I could find)

Starman #75(March 2001)

Looking back at my entire comic collection, and all of the books I've managed to acquire over the years, I've got to say, James Robinson's Starman is my all-time favorite series. Nuff said.

Lex Luthor: Man of Steel #5(Sept. 2005)

Then you wonder why Lex is a bit unhinged... Imagine if you had to deal with Superman staring in your window all the time!

Invasion! #2(1988)
