Haha, I explained this to a buddy yesterday and the concert I went to, the dude says "He's your ex-man like Cannonball" so we literally just turned to each other and started laughing in the middle of the concert.
Yeah, those two were an item for a while in the mid-'90s X-Force days. I recently read a few issues from the John Francis Moore run, and they were surprisingly good!
Wait, Sam and Dani were an item during the old X-Force comic?! I don't remember that at all! I remember Sam being with Lila, Meltdown/Boom Boom, and Lila again, but am totally blanking on Dani... What issues were those, because I have the full X-Force run, and that sounds like some prime material for this blog.
Goddamn it! I KNEW i should've known that. And hey, that's one out of like a million! Everyone's allowed one X. Besides, I'm the true KING of the Hill, you're a peasant at best. :P In fact, I think I am a God to them.
X-force is on of the most consistent goo books they made! the Nicieza, Loeb , JF Moore runs gave us many great characters & dvlpt! They were all likable & believable(except Shatterstar but he must be over the top!) that it pains they got sidelined & never got their chance to be further expanded (I'd also add Havok & Polaris in that list of screwed over people) For fuck sake Cannonball should a leader not af ucking rookie!
The way Cannonball was treated when he joined the X-Men in the 90's pisses me of still. He went from competent leader of the New Mutants AND X-Force, to a bumbler who couldn't do ANYTHING right... He was X-Men ready WAY before he joined that team, and they made him into a complete joke. Sam's initial X-run was truly horrid.
Good ol Cannonballs. Haha, God that joke was awesome. I used it like six times today...
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you said that! I deliberately posted this pic simply so you WOULD say it! :D

It was such a lay-up... I was just glad you finished it. If you hadn't, you'd be DEAD to me! :D
