  1. I'm sorry, but all I can think is "no shoes, no shirt, no service."

  2. Kello, I've got to agree with you... You know how much of a fan of Nate's I am, but his current outfit is really pretty bad. Nate's always been a fashion disaster though. Hopefully he gets a new look post-haste!

  3. All I'm gonna say is, I'd take that look over Jason's um..."new" look any day. Plus that tat is pretty bad ass.

  4. Eh, I guess you're right that Nate's costume could be worse, but still, I'd love for Nate to get a makeover. He's never really looked the part of a proper super-hero(except for the time he ran around in Cyclops' old X-Factor gear). I'd be fine with the lack of a shirt, but what kind of super-hero runs around without shoes!

  5. Lol um...Maybe he's channeling the energy of Jimmy Superfly Snuka? Yeah I see what ya mean, Nate needs some shoes asap. And I was always under the impression Nate was a villain...he's a hero?

  6. Oh wow, your Nate knowledge is severely lacking my man! I could easily go on and on about Nate, but instead, I wrote a pretty indepth post about Nate a while back(like over a year ago!). If you really want to know more about Mr. Grey, check this link out. http://xmanscomicblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/nate-grey-x-man.html Be warned though, that's one of my earliest posts, so it's probably quite the mess!

  7. Hm...very interesting. I can see why you're such a Nate fan. And that article was pretty good to be so early in your blogosphere career. So if Nate is your favorite hero, who would your other favorite heroes and villains be? And if I asked this before lemme know lol.

  8. Thanks. I VERY rarely go back and reread my own work because for the most part I'll wind up finding like 100 things wrong with it! I am far and away my harshest critic.

Hmm, you know, that question actually sounds like it could make a pretty good post over at the other blog when I have the extra time during vacation...

  9. I know what you mean, I'm the same way dude. I think most people are their own worst critic.

See I'm like an idea machine...now I gotta start charging ya lol. But nah that sounds like a good read.

  10. i hate the fact they brought him back, his death was so bizarre yet beautiful that it's the fitting end for the great yet unorthodox Nate Grey!

srsly marvel just brought him back to job to norman osborn, a guy nate would turn to a drooling vegetable with a thought , Nate killed Sinister a dude that beats an entire team with his bare fucking hands!

& he was made to kill En Sabah Nur Dammit

...writers of nowadays have no respect or idea how to write the heroes or villains properly nor do they care anymore

On a side note,X-man can actually be a nightmarish neutral being especially in that alternate reality where he imposed peace (see x-men millenial vision)... & by imposing i mean "look guys you stop your little wars or i'll make you explode , got it! just STOP!"

i'd love to use this take on nate both as a counter to en sabah nur who' s become nigh-godlike ( like x-men evolution) & a problem for the x-men & the avengers ( i mean the real ones not bendis shitty version)

  11. Nate's actually in the current issues of New Mutants(along with Sugar Man!), and with the writers being Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, I have VERY high hopes that they'll give us an awesome Nate. In a perfct world, he'll join the New Mutants and lead that team. I mean I love Nate as a loner, but the only way to really intergrate him into the Marvel U is to stick him on one of the X-teams.

Oh man, I LOVED Nate just BEATING Sinister to death! That was one of my favorite things about the Age of Apocalypse, and the main reason I HATED the AOA mini from the 2000's, when Sinister was still alive, and Nate wasn't mentioned once!

I'd love for an ultra powerful Nate just roaming around doing his own thing, blowing off EVERY other hero in the world, but I think Marvel needs to stick him with the X-Men/New Mutants for now at least, let him build up a fanbase, since many newer fans probably have no clue as to who is is, what he's REALLY capable of, and THEN let him go off on is own, give him his own series and just let him off and do his own thing. But for me, being THE biggest Nate fan you'll find, I'm just happy he's back... Now let's hope they write him properly...
