Wonder Woman #24(Nov. 2008), Wonder Woman #33(Aug. 2009), Wonder Woman #34(Sept. 2009)

Here we have mention of Wonder Woman's "rear end"Next up is a mention of WW's hand... OK, so I stretched things a bit there...And finally mention of WW... Ahem, bosom.(That's one down Jason!)

  1. Ahh I just read the WW Black Canary issue about a month ago too, lol I admit that was an easy one

  2. Yeah, that comic was the first one I grabbed when I decided to tackle this challenge. I will admit that I took a bit of a shortcut by posting the pic with WW's hand, finding that pic was just dumb luck.

  3. Lol well I did say body, didnt have hand in mind but thats what I call a Genie wish, where ya flipped it on me. lol

    ReplyDelete
  4. Ha, yeah, when you think about Wonder Woman's body, her hand probably isn't the first part(s) that come to mind!

  5. Yeah, I can't say thats one of the main features I think of, thats like being a fan of Power Girl's knees.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yeah, but Power Girl has some gorgeous knees! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Some of the best in the world...I don't see how no other Superheroes have tried to date her because of her "knees," especially Bat-man-whore Dick Grayson

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yep, PG DEFINITELY has the best knees in the entire DCU, hands down. The only reason I can possibly think of as to why Dick hasn't made a play for PG is due to PG's bad relationship with Babs. Maybe Dick didn't want to piss Babs off by dating PG... Then again, sometimes it seems Dick goes out of his way to piss Babs off, so who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  9. PG's knees are the best, then I'd have to say Wonder Woman and third would be um...hm...Ms Gordon might be a good choice, her or Catwoman depending on who's drawing her...but after just asking my girlfriend we came to the conclusion that Starfire would be third...in the...knees category.

Hm...I wasn't aware that PG and Barbara had bad blood, you mind giving me a quick rundown on why they hate each other?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Early in the "Birds of Prey" series, before Black Canary and Huntress came around(I think... Dinah may have been there already)PG was working for Oracle as one of her field agents. Oracle sent PG on some mission that ended horribly and resulted in a lot of deaths. PG blamed Oracle, saying she had terrible leadership skills, and swore she'd never work for Babs again. I think it was Huntress who wound up replacing PG, but I could be mistaken.

Yeah, Starfire sure does like to flaunt her knees too, doesn't she...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hm...interesting, i didn't know that. I wish that was played up more in current continuity. and Yeah looking at Starfire and Cheyenne Freemont, Grayson must be a knee-man.

    ReplyDelete
  12. A Target reference and a Cheyenne Freemont reference??? Wow... I think I may have met my match when it comes to random Dick Grayson trivia!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lol I highly doubt that, I just got big into comics maybe a year and a half ago, so thats all due to me reading like it was my job. Although I can't say I minded much seeing Ms. Freemont wear the Nightwing costume...she definitely looked better in it than Jason or Dick.

  14. Dude, I just started reading DC comics last April, about a year and a half ago!!! How weird is that? I grew up reading Marvel books, but I became so pissed at the terrible stories Marvel was producing that I finally decided to give DC a try. I went to eBay and snatched a bunch of cheap full runs of things(Young Justice, Impulse, Superboy, Teen Titans, Nightwing, Green Arrow, 52, Identity and Infinite Crisis just to name a few)and since then I've been rabidly collecting any DC back issues I've been able to find cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wow...thats wild. I'm really disappointed in Marvel, the only thing I follow now is Amazing Spiderman, but thats wild, we pretty much got into DC at the same time. I did check out DC Last Will and Testament and the scene with Geo-Force and Deathstroke was so awesome you've got me wanting to read more about GF, any other things with him you recommend?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I still read a mess of Marvel books, mainly because I keep hoping things will turn around... There are some good books like Captain America, but most of their main storylines have become mind-numbingly bad. I used to be a huge fan of Spidey, but after the One More Day storyline with Mephisto, that did it for me.

The battle between Deathstroke and Geo-Force was really some amazing stuff. I loved when Deathstroke thought he had Geo-Force defeated and pinned to the dumpster, and he stood there taunting Geo-Force and just ripping Geo-Force's dead sister... Slade is one cold-blooded man. THAT is how a villain should act!

I have a few comics with Geo-Force in them(a few older Outsiders, some JLA's)but nothing nearly as awesome as Last Will and Testament. I know he is in the current Outsiders series, but that's something I haven't been able to read yet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I Jumped into ASM at issue 592 after all the Mephisto stuff but it's been pretty good so far, especially with the return of Black Cat, one of my favorite Marvel characters.

Dude that was the best part to me, He's just ragging on Terra and Elongated Man and Ted Kord then GF rips the sword out only to get spat on right in the face. That was amazing, Meltzer can write a hell of a story. I love how GF has to deal with knowing he tried to take the easy way out and everyone thinks he's some hero.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Man, just talking about this comic makes me want to read it again! That comic is one of the rare cases where I can actually remember getting goosebumps while I read it. The fight, the dialogue, the art, Geo-Force slitting his throat and Slade flashing back to his son, everything about that comic was nearly flawless... Damn do I wish Meltzer would come back and write some more comics!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I honestly feel like if I hadn't read Identity Crisis I wouldn't be as big into comics as I am, It's easily in my top 3. I also wish Meltzer would come back to do more comics, I'd love to see him tackle a story with Jason Todd and give him more added dimensions.

I hate how no one plays up the fact that after he came back to life Jason went and got the same Training around the world Bruce did, not only making him somewhat equally trained, of course not in experience but also that Jason was trained by Bruce as well.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, same here. Identity Crisis, Young Justice and Nightwing really hooked me into DC big time.

Jason's first few appearences after returning showed that he was nearly Bruce's equal, I can remember JT beating the hell out of Tim in an issue of Teen Titans too, but since then, he's been more or less beaten up by everybody... I really hope that changes soon.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I also remember him beating up Tim in those Titan issues, as well as being evenly matched with Bruce and Ollie in a fight they had, but now Jason's fallen from grace, so Im hoping he's put back up there where he belongs. Im still thinking he has the potential to be a major hero if they give him a chance, have him save someone pivotal but they seem to wanna make him a villain for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think the guys running DC(editors, etc)still believe the fans hate Jason, which is why they continue to present him as a bad guy. We all know DC left it up to the fans back in the day as to whether they wanted Jason to live or die with that 1-900 number, and we know that the fans voted for Jason to die... But what's always forgotten is that out of the over 10,000 votes DC recieved, it was a VERY small majority who wanted Jason to die(I've read it was a mere 80 votes or so). 80 votes out of 10,000 is practically a dead-heat!

I honestly believe Jason has a lot of fans out there(besides us of course), just as he had a lot of fans back when he was Robin in the 80's. If DC reformed Jason, I truly think the fans would support a Jason Todd solo series where he is trying to work towards redemption.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree, there's tons of Jason fans, It seems like every since they brought him back they never intended him as a hero, I mean sure, he's bitter, but even when he was walking the middle edge (like in Countdown) He still played the jerk, i feel like he could be a rude but loveable character, not unlike Wolverine, in the sense that him being a jerk sometimes plays to his persona but he's still a hero. I'd definitely love a Jason solo series, hell, It couldn't be worse than that travesty they gave Tim "The Jinx" Drake/Wayne.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "The Jinx" is an awesome nickname! There should be a hero with bad luck powers called the Jinx.

Anyway, I hated the way poor Jason was depicted in Countdown, it's like nobody will even give him a chance, even when he's trying to be good. No wonder he's pissed all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hell, at this point I'd rather have Geoff Johns or Meltzer give Tim a comic called the Jinx than read that horrible Red Robin. And I know it'd be fantastic.

Exactly, Its like, oh cool, Jason's a hero, wait no he's getting slapped around by Second Rate Wonder Woman and Second Rate Green Lantern. No wonder he's so pissed, he's the middle child of Batman, He's not as respected as Dick, He's not as good of a detective as Tim. To be honest I relate the most with Jason, I mean he was KILLED by Joker, and yet Joker's still running free, still killing people. I understand why he was so upset.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Red Robin is one of the very few comic books on the market today that I refuse to read, and that's all because of the writer, Chris Yost. I absolutely despise his work. He's the only comic book writer whose work I won't read.

I wish ANYBODY else would take up writing Red Robin, because I like Tim, and I'd love to be able to read his adventures.

I'm sure you've read the issue of Batman where Jason Todd captures the Joker and holds a gun to his head while Batman looks on(I forget what issue it was...). The dialogue in that issue was really inspired. Jason asks Batman point blank why he didn't kill Joker after Jason's brutal death. Not Two Face, not Scarecrow, only Joker, and only because of what he did to Jason(who Bruce had actually adopted, making him Bruce's son!). It was right there I became a huge fan of Jason Todd, because he was absolutely right. The Joker crossed the line. It was bad enough he was killing Bruce's fellow Gothamittes left and right, but that time he actually murdered Bruce's own son! And of course Bruce did nothing(well nothing permanent). Hell, if Bats just couldn't bring himself to flat out kill the Joker then at least paralyze him, or break his arms and legs, SOMETHING more then simply sending him back to Arkham where you know he'll eventually escape again...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah I read that issue, loved it, then Bruce said if it starts there when will it stop...Blah blah blah, I felt like that was a lame excuse, I agree, atleast paralyze him, He's killed one of your partners and paralyzed another. Man that was such a strong issue, I've never felt a closer bond to a character then I did to Jason right then.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The emotion and dialogue in that comic was just so dead-on. I would prob consider that issue the high point in Jason's return.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I definitely agree...then it was all down hill from there, especially him becoming Nightwing then having to get saved by Dick and Freemont

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't know if you know the story, but Nightwing was supposed to become Jason's comic, because Dick(not Superboy)was originally supposed to die during Infinite Crisis.

When DC decided at the last minute not to kill Dick off, the guy writing Nightwing had to change up all of his work to now include Dick in the series again. Boy, imagine how different things would be now if Dick ended up dying during IC...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hm...I didnt know that. Well I did know they were gonna Kill Dick but changed their minds due to his fan base but I didnt know Jason was gonna become Nightwing. Hm...I wonder how everyone would've reacted to that. And how they would've brought Dick back. Thats wild.

    ReplyDelete
  32. From what I read from Dan Didio, it wasn't the fan base that convinced him to keep Dick alive, it was Geoff Johns! Dan wanted Dick to be the big death in IC, but Geoff hated that idea(mainly because Dick has connections to EVERYBODY in the DCU)and offered to kill Superboy(one of his fav characters)off as a compromise. Of course the funny thing is that in less than 3 years Geoff had brought SB back to life!

Bruce Jones, who was taking over the Nightwing series after IC, was set to use Jason as the star of that comic, but with Dick not dying he had to scrap those plans. Dick not dying is prob why his engagement to Babs from around that time is largely forgotten!

Yeah, so Jason Todd almost had his own solo series... The bringing Dick back question is really interesting, because there was no funny business with his death, he was shot by Alexander Luthor and would have died in Bruce's arms... I don't know HOW DC would have been able to bring him back from THAT!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hm...wow. Thats amazing, i didn't know any of that. And you KNOW they would've brought Dick back, we're talking about a company where Ted Kord got shot point Blank in the head only to hang out with Booster in his comic like two years later, and the SAME company that broughy Barry back 25 years later. Lol, But I am curious to know how Jason as Nightwing would've gone.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The thing that sucks about the whole thing is that some time as the new Nightwing might have been the thing to really establish Jason as a force for good. I could see him taking up the Nightwing name as a tribute to Dick(Dick was like an older brother to Jason during his Robin days), and eventually making ammends with Bruce and the rest of the Bat-clan. Nothing ever works out for Jason...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, Jason's always screwed over. I could see that, and in turn earning the respect of Bruce and Tim and everyone else. I wonder if they still would've had the Battle for the Cowl with Dick gone and how it would've played out.

Im really wanting a Jason Todd comic book now-a-days, if they can give one to that shoddy Batwoman character then why not give Jason one. Even if they wanna make him a villain, just let me read about the guy.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hell, I'm pissed that the new Azrael is getting his own book and Jason is still out in the cold!

I'd bet that if Dick would have died, Bats wouldn't have been the hero to take the fall in Final Crisis, and as such there necer would have been a Battle for the Cowl. I doubt DC would do two straight big events killing of a prominant member of the Bat-family. Maybe SB would have been killed off in FC, or maybe it would have been a character like Wally West, Wonder Woman or Green Arrow. You'd think it would have to be somebody with a pretty big name. I love sitting around thinking about what could have been...

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree, that Azrael stuff was the worst part of BFTC...besides the Oracle stuff, man that was awful.

Once again you're probably right, they probably would've killed Wally to make room for Barry, since their doing Nothing with Wally now, We haven't even seen him since Blackest Night started. Personally I'd like to see Wally, Booster, and a few more people shown some attention, maybe in the form of a group. I know Booster has his own comic but Grayson has like 4 at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The Oracle stuff made no sense!!! I was literally tearing my hair out after I read that mess!

I'd love a team of second-stringer type heroes on a team. Booster, Wally, Kyle Rayner, Connor Hawke, The Ray, Zatanna, there's plenty of characters out there doing nothing, and each one has a fanbase, you'd think putting them together would be a great idea.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I read your review and had to laugh out loud because It brought back my memories of reading it. how the hell do you have a cameras feed of someone's house, yet they've NEVER seen you, and you see someone make their head explode online. Makes me glad im not into World of Warcraft.

That'd be a sweet team too, especially since Kyle, Wally and Connor aren't doing anything. Last I heard Zee was still in the league but I'd like her added, as well as Red Arrow or Arsenal or whatever name Roy goes by now.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh yeah, how did I forget about Roy! He'd def have to make the team. The team we assembled is pretty solid, the only thing missing is a powerhouse. Any recommendations?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hm...Powerhouse eh? I'm gonna say viable B-list Candidates include Geo-Force, Maybe Superboy if you wanna consider him B-List, or the Under-utilized Captain Marvel would make a good powerhouse and leader for this team.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Geo-Force would be a maybe, but he's not quite as strong as I'd want for the team. SB is too young, and I like the Captain Marvel idea, but I think he may be slotted in as a member of the soon to be reformed JLA... I can't think of anybody... It'll come to me eventually... You know what else this team is missing some females! How about some recommendations there?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree that SB is too young, GF seems like a strong dude, I mainly nominated him because I'd like to see how the team handled finding out eventually about what happened in his fight with Deathstroke. How about Captain Atom? He's hardly ever used and has potential.

In terms of women I'd say besides Zee we could always have Stephanie as Batgirl or Cassandra in a new identity since she's not doing anything right now, Donna Troy's a good pick as well, but I'm leaning towards Supergirl.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Donna was the first woman I thought of, but she's another one who is going to be a part of the new JLA line-up. Supergirl would actually take care of the female and powerhouse slot on the team, but once again, she seems just a bit too young to really fit in with the rest of the team. I think Steph is prob a better pick.

Capt. Atom is PERFECT! There we go, now we have our powerhouse!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Isn't Steph younger than Supergirl? Or the same age at least, someone's being biased. Lol, kidding.

    So the final team is:
    Captain Atom
    Booster Gold
    Wally West as Flash
    Stephanie Brown as Batgirl
    The Ray
    Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern
    Connor Hawke as Green Arrow
    Roy Harper as Red Arrow
    and Zatanna.

Sound cool? I like the dynamic of having a Red and Green Arrow for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't know, I figure SG is about 16-ish while Steph just started college, so she's got to be about 18.

That line-up looks awesome! I'd buy that comic in a heartbeat!

Speaking of Connor and Roy, there was an older issue of GA(#32 if I'm not mistaken)where they went out to a stripclub to bond. It was some pretty funny stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lol I recall seeing that cover, I think you posted it on the other site. And I'd also buy that comic, theres alot of depth to it, you got leaders, young heroes, older heroes, former sidekicks, Comic relief. Looks awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Now if only we could sell the idea to DC...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hm...that'd be awesome. Getting money just for coming up with an awesome comic, then getting Meltzer to do the first few issues before passing it off to Geoff Johns...Its fun to imagine. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ha, I bet Geoff would start the series and then pass it on to Brad. Not that long ago I was having a conversation with another blogger about how many series Geoff starts and then leaves soon there after! Geoff has to have written for more DC series then just about anybody else... I wonder if there's any DC hero he hasn't written yet!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I wish he'd take over Titans, after reading the Titans East then looking at the current Titans roster it looks like they've just fell off the map. Maybe he could get me interested enough to pick it up, because I am a fan of Static.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, after Geoff left the Teen Titans, that comic went to hell in a handbasket. But then again, why would DC take Kid Flash, Superboy and Robin off the team in rapid succession? How dumb is it to remove your most popular characters from the series?

I thought I was going to hate Static, I usually don't like characters that come from cartoons(X-23!!!), but Static and Wonder Girl are the only current Teen Titans I can say I care about.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yeah I'll never understand why they did that. Its like they wanted the series to be doomed or something. I haven't even read any issues with Static yet, I'm actually reading Terror Titans right now. If you ask me they need to just revamp the Titans from scratch.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm still hopeful that SB and Bart will rejoin the team and the series will pull out of the state of sucktitude it's currently in.

I remember kind of liking Terror Titans... I don't remember why though...

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'd love for them to rejoin because right now the Teen Titans are on their last leg, I say kick out Beetle, turn Miss Martian evil like they've been predicting forever, then bring in Kon-L and Bart.

I finished it yesterday, I loved all the emphasis put on Ravager, as well as them building up Static like a force to be reckoned with in his debut and the few issues before. Overall I think it established alot of new heroes and villains so I'll give it props for that.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Well, the next issue of Teen Titans is #75, maybe DC'll have something special planned for that one... Hopefully.

I think the thing that bugged me about Terror Titans was the fact that after I finished it I was puzzled as to why Ravager wasn't a member of the Teen Titans! She was so good in that mini that it made no sense that she wasn't on the Teen Titans, who could have definitely used her.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I hope so, I've pretty much caught up after reading Titans East, Terror Titans, Deathtrap (minus the Vigilante stuff where I just read your reviews) And Titans 1-17 so I'm good, I may check it out.

I agree that Ravager would be perfect in the Teen Titans, Hell she'd make an awesome leader to be honest, because I hate Cassie in that role. I can't taker her seriously after she cried about Connor for three years straight.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Once again we're in agreement. I like Cassie and all, but I just don't see her as a leader. I didn't buy her as a leader in Young Justice, and I don't really buy her as a leader now. Then again, looking at the current Teen Titans, who else could really lead the team?

Ugh, you read Deathtrap? I hated it! Then again, I've always been a fan of Jericho, and his entire characterization in that x-over made no sense at all.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Well, good point, no one on that team has the expertise although they seem to be grooming Static. I read your article about X-Men evolution and I hope they don't push Static too far but I do like him getting attention because I am a fan of his.

As for Leaders besides the horrible Cassie, I guess Beastboy will have to do but I'd really like to have Connor back, or at the very least Ravager.

I hated it as well, I liked him more in his good guy role in Titans East, its hard to hate a guy who got his neck slit as a kid. And I didn't read the finale in Vigilante but from your review I'm glad I didn't. If I'd seen Deathstroke turn into Miss Martian I probably would've just gotten up and walked away.

    ReplyDelete
  60. So far DC has been smart with the way they've been using Static IMO, he's there, but it's not like he's constantly saving the rest of the team, he's not overshadowing everybody else, which is def a ggod thing.

Yeah, it def looks like Beast Boy will be leading the Teen Titans, I guess we'll have to see how that turns out...

As for Jericho, it's like the writers say, "Well, he IS Deathstroke's son, let's turn him into a bad guy!" The same thing happens with Raven. One day she's good, then she'll inexplicably turn evil because her dad is Trigon. Just because you have an evil parent doesn't mean you HAVE to follow in their footsteps!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yeah, their using him well which makes me happy, I'm hoping he's a breakout character in a few years but I don't want him to overshadow the team, Its Teen Titans not Static AND The Teen Titans.

I'm fine with Beastboy leading the team if it makes he grow up, I'd rather it was Wally so he has SOMETHING to do but eh, I'm fine with that, even though what the Teen Titans need is a Detective/Smart Character like a Robin/Nightwing/Batman.

I know what you mean, the first Titans Arc was Raven all evil and whatnot, then right into Jericho, I'm hoping they don't do that to Ravager because her character is perfect the way she is, hating Slade. She's quickly on her way to being one of my favorite characters.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Sadly, using DC logic, it's only a matter of time before Ravager rejoins the Titans and then betrays them...

Yeah, I wish Wally were running(heh)the Titans as well, it's not like he's doing anything else! I've always said that the Teen Titans NEED a Robin. From the start there has always been a Robin on/leading the team. With that said, PLEASE don't put Damian on the team!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I hope not, I'd hate that so much, let her be the black sheep, the good one, the one who DOESN'T follow Slade because she really have a reason to have any loyalty to anyone but the Titans.

Lol, i chuckled at your pun. I honestly did, as you see by my "Lol's" I'm not a tough man to make laugh. But yeah, Wally needs SOMETHING to do, let him lead the Teen Titans, he's got the credentials.

I agree that they need a Robin but Damian has no place in the Teen Titans and I'm glad you said it. He doesn't even have the leadership skills Tim and Dick had if you ask me.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Did you happen to read the issues of Nightwing with Deathstroke and Ravager where NW was training Rose for Slade?

Even worse then you chuckling at that pun is the fact that I laughed at it too! It's always sad when you laugh at your own bad puns!

Ugh, who WOULD listen to that obnoxious punk, Damian?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I did read them, I hated how she kept running to Slade to tell at the beginning but of course it made since for her to, being Daddy's little girl at the time. Slade's so ruthless giving her that Kryptonite eye, sometimes I think he WANTS to kill all of his kids.

And that pun ruled, so It's all good. Lol.

If Damian ever joins the Teen Titans I'll be done with that series. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ravager should be leading the Teen Titans if not Wally West.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, the Kryptonite eye thing was wicked evil on Slade's part! Now THAT is bad parenting!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I loved that Dick noted it saying she had a 33.3 percent of living under Slade's parenting. And Maybe I could see him using it during the Superman thing but she STILL had it in like weeks later.

    ReplyDelete
  68. That's the thing about Slade, I think he valued Ravager way lower because she was a girl. I always got the feeling that Slade would have much rather had Joey following in his footsteps than Rose.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I believe that as well. What's sad is she may be a girl but she's damn well the best trained of his kids and the biggest force to be reckoned with. I'd love to see her train with Wonder Woman then Ravager would be unstoppable.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yeah, that's the thing, Rose is def the one Slade should have been the most proud of, if he wouldn't have screwed her over with that Kryptonite eye, she would have probably become the world's greatest assassin(or second best behind Slade). If she ever wound up training with WW, I think she'd easily rival Bats as the greatest fighter in the DCU.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah, Slade made a BIG mistake in making an enemy of Rose, but then again Slade is always steps ahead so I'm sure he knew what he was doing the minute he hired Grayson to train Rose.

If Diana trained Rose she'd definitely be a force to be reckoned with, hell if she didn't kill I'm sure Bruce probably would've taken her on and trained her. Then again he probably wouldn't trust her.

In a semi-related note what do you think is gonna happen to former Batgirl, Cassandra?

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm pretty sure Slade and Rose'll be teaming up sometime soon during some Blackest Night x-over stuff, so that should be great.

I honestly doubt there are any plans for Cassandra right now, especially with Bruce out of the picture. I figure when he comes back, she'll probably return as well, where she'll possibly try to take the Batgirl mantle back from Steph.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thats gonna be cool, because of course the first Ravager as well as Rose's uncle who she killed would be back. I'm looking forward to a forced Slade/Rose team up.

I hated how easily she just gave up the role to Steph, it was basically like, I'm bored with this, you can do it. I'm still rooting for a new Birds of prey like team with Batgirl, Ravager, and Cassandra.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yeah, I'd love to see that team, especially if Babs was coordinating the whole thing. I'd def buy that series.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'd also give that a read. It'd be a great team with some conflict from time to time that would keep it interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I really miss the Birds of Prey, it was a very underrated series. That series really turned me into a big fan of Babs.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Part of me really likes Babs as The Oracle but I really want her to be able to walk and fight crime again but I don't think that's gonna end up happening.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I was practically positive that Babs was going to regain her mobility during that abysmal Battle for the Cowl mini-series she was involved in... The way the Birds of Prey series ended(with Calculator merging with
Kilg%re)really had me thinking it was practically a given. Common sense said that Babs would merge/bond with Kilg%re and regain her mobility that way. Of course common sense went out the window in Babs' Cowl mini!

I'm so used to seeing Babs as Oracle that I'm not sure if I'd be able to accept her as a street hero again. Although it would be beyond awesome to see Babs walk up to Joker and beat the ever loving hell out of him, I think she's more important to the super-hero community as Oracle, then as Batgirl/woman.

    ReplyDelete
  79. That was the worst thing...well no..that Azrael thing was awful too, both of those things sucked SO much. The title had me SO sure that she was gonna be walking, but after reading it I felt like I wasted so much of my time it's not even funny.

I agree, I want her to walk but I'm used to her as Oracle, plus she'd have no mantle to take seeing as how Batgirl and Batwoman are taken. But yeah her beating the hell outta Joker would almost be as satisfying as Jason beating the hell outta Joker.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Oh yeah, Jason Todd's revenge was awesome. I still think he should have just offed Joker instead of dragging Batman in to the situation though. If I were Jason I'd have bashed Joker's head in with a crowbar and left his body at the Cave! That way you can have your revenge on Joker and rub Bruce's nose in it as well.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah, I agree with you. Then Bruce would've probably had no choice but to try to take down Jason. Although I did love Jason beating the hell outta Tim at Titans Tower, that was great.

Also is this the most comments you've ever had on one post?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Oh that's right, you just read the Jason Todd/Tim Drake battle at the Tower! I loved when Jason ripped off his Red Hood outfit and battled Tim in a variation of the Robin costume. That was a great issue.

Yeah, by FAR! I didn't even realize we had gotten the comments on this post that high! Hey, who knows, maybe we'll be able to get this up to 100!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yeah that was great, I could do without Jason rocking the long yellow tights but hey, what can ya do. I never really thought about it but Jason did have a good point, as paranoid as Bruce is he'd definitely have noticed Tim following him for weeks.

In that case we MUST keep this going. You ever notice how all the Robins have to lose a parent or something so they can understand Bruce better. I never really noticed it until Tim "The Jinx" Drake went through it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I think the long yellow tights were a better choice then the little green speedo!

Yeah, we'll make this the post of random comic book conversations! All of the Robins have a few pretty big simularities, even that little bastard Damian. The poor Jinx lost practically everybody important to him over the course of a couple of months! Steph, Superboy, his dad, all jinxed to death right around the same time. He def earned his "Jinx" nickname after that streak!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Lol, good point, yellow tights > Green Speedos any day.

Jinx is such a bad influence on... the living. Damnian is still a bit of a wildcard, I don't like having a main character that I know so little about, there's something unsettling about that, plus the fact he's a jerk of course.

And if Dick would've died like originally planned in infinite Crisis, how do you think that would've affected the character development of Tim? And Bruce for that matter.

    ReplyDelete
  86. That last question is a great one! That's actually the reason Didio wanted to kill Dick off to begin with, because his death would affect so many people, not just the Bat-clan, but heroes all over the DCU. I think Bats would have reverted back into his crazy lone wolf persona, like he did after Jason's death. I'd bet he'd probably push Tim away/try to ban him from being Robin. If that scenario played out, I could easily see Tim(now not Robin)take up the Nightwing persona and head to say New York to start a life of his own. That way you could have Tim and Jason at each other's throats, battling each other for the Nightwing name.

Another scenario would have Bruce try twice as hard to bring Jason back to his side. In this possibility, Jason takes up the Nightwing name/costume out of respect for Dick, who always treated Jason like a little brother. Eventually(especially since Jason was slotted to get Dick's series)I could see Jason and Bruce finally making amends with each other, and Jason rejoining the Bat family as the new Nightwing.

I actually like both those ideas, what are your thoughts on a DCU without Dick?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Wow, both of those are great ideas, I think being biased to Jason I'd prefer the second but both would've been awesome.

I agree that it would've affected everyone from the Titans, to Teen Titans to the JLA and JSA. Actually now that I think of it, story wise killing Dick would've probably been better but I would've hated it, but I'm sure he'd make an eventual return.

I do feel like for some reason Tim and Starfire would've kissed, and knowing Tim that'd lead to her eventual death. Lol. The good thing is you could still have Tim's storyline about losing everyone close to him work, although this time instead of his Best friend it'd be his "Big Brother."

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, the more I think about it, storyline-wise, killing Dick would have been the better move! I'd have been really bummed by that though.

Ha, yeah, Starfire could have taken Cassie's place. Instead of moving in on the girl of his dead best friend, Tim could have moved in on the girl of his dead older "brother". And the best part would be the fact that Tim could have kept his Jinx nickname since he was as close to Dick as he was to Superboy.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Exactly, I can see all that going down. Plus Tim keeping his Jinx nickname is always a bonus, that dude stays with the bad luck.

Do you think anything is gonna happen with Black Hand (Who we've rarely seen for much of Blackest Night) and Bruce's supposed skull? I find it weird it hasn't been mentioned much.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I figure the Black Hand/Bruce's skull thing should really begin to pick up steam around the 5th or 6th issue of the series. Right now I think Geoff is still trying to set the stage. I figure that when the mysterious master of the BL's is revealed Black Hand's appearances should really begin to pick up.

The skull thing is really weird though... We all know that it can't be Bruce's skull(he's in the past or an alternate dimension or something), so whose skull is that? What exactly did Darkseid do when he struck Bruce with the Omega beams? I'm really hoping those questions get answered by the end of BN.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I figured that'd probably pop up around that time, I'm anxiously waiting on it because I've also been curious about exactly who's skull that is since Bruce isn't dead.

I also wanna know more about Dove and this white emotion that they haven't explained yet. This is been very well paced so I commend Geoff on that.

After BN ends where do you think things will go from there? I mean I know its early but do you think we'll get another inter-promotional cross over type deal or if they'll just move on from it?

    ReplyDelete
  92. I'm betting the Dove thing is going to become a major part of BN towards the end. Geoff isn't the type of writer to put something in a comic and then ignore it. That must have some kind of HUGE significance.

Most likely I'm sure we'll be getting another big x-over come next summer... I really wish we wouldn't though! Between Marvel and DC, I spend a crazy amount of money on their "big" summer x-overs. My wallet needs a break!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yeah, The Dove thing has gotta be significant, I'm very anxious to see what the tie-in between it is but I'm sure Geoff has something good up his sleeve.

I may be reading too much into it but in the latest Booster issue (don't worry I won't spoil it) on Rips chalk board it said something like "Armageddon 2011?" so I'm thinking we may get a huge storyline around that time.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hmm, "Armageddon 2011"? That sounds like DC's next big event to me! I'm sure it will start April/May of 2011 and go right through the summer. *Sigh* There goes my money!

I know DC did an Armageddon storyline a whole mess of years ago, but I know NOTHING about it. Maybe if I can find it cheap somewhere, I'll pick it up.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I hope it starts around that time, hell I can start saving up for the huge amount of money it's gonna cost. At this point they've pretty much killed off everyone but Wonder Woman so I'm sure thats where their headed next.

Oh, I meant to ask you, what do you think their gonna be doing with the Justice League, I remember you mentioned something about them changing the line up or something like that?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think WW already died, although I could be very, very wrong. I can sort of remember reading that she was killed by Neron, but I don't have any proof to back it up, so I could def be off.

I CAN NOT wait for the new JLA line-up!!! I'm a huge fan of James Robinson, who's taking over the writing duties for that book, and the new team looks pretty sweet. The team is(and I'm probably forgetting a few characters)Green Arrow, Green Lantern(Hal), Bats(Dick), Mon-El, Donna Troy, Cyborg, Congorilla and a few others. With the exception of Congorilla(I HATE talking monkeys!!!!!)there's nobody on the team I can flat out say I don't like. I might even subscribe to the series so I don't miss an issue.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Wow, when did they announce this? Or is this in Cry for Justice? Either way Ollie, Hal and Dick are a huge selling point for me, glad to see Donna and Cyborg making a leap to the main squad, and I like Mon-El in the few things I've read about him in. I don't know much about Congorilla...and why are tehre like 6 talking monkeys in DC?!

    ReplyDelete
  98. 6 talking monkeys? There's a whole damn city full of talking monkeys!!! Ugh, talking monkeys are prob the thing I hate the most about DC. Who exactly are they trying to appeal to with these talking monkeys? Other talking monkeys??? 6 year olds??? If it was just Grodd, I'd be OK with it, but a whole city full of talking monkeys? Really!?!

There have been some advertisments in a few DC books recently showing the new team, next time I see one I'll post the ad. I could be wrong with Ollie though... He should be there, but I can't remember seeing him in the ad for sure.

I felt the same way about Donna and Cyborg, especially Cyborg. He's always been a VERY underutilized character, IMO. When I find one of those ads I can give you the rest of the line-up, it should be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Lmao, I just meant the important ones, Grodd, Congorilla, That one dressed like Sherlock Holmes, That Albino one that used to be a dude, Gorilla city or whatever its called never even crossed my mind. Yeah I don't know what their obsession is with the Talking Monkeys.

Hm, If Ollie's not I would be happy with Roy being in the team, but the line up sounds cool. Kinda shocked about no Dinah but Donna's a good replacement in the female department.

I always thought Cyborg was underutillized as well so him joining is gonna be awesome. If you can find a pic of the new team I'd love to see it. I actually looked it up on Wiki (no idea if its true)and saw Starfire was also joining lol, any thoughts on that?

Also, I'm 99 so congrats on reply #100! Woooo!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. HA! The sad thing is that there are actually important talking gorillas in the DCU at all!

Yeah, Starfire is one I forgot... I prob forgot on purpose! The fact that her and Dick are going to be teaming up again really bugs me. That means he'll be getting some Tamarian action which means he STILL won't be getting back with Babs.

I'd actually prefer Roy to Ollie. Ollie has his own series, so I'd rather see Roy on the team, hell, half the Titans are there anyway, why can't Roy join as well? I'm still keeping an eye out for that pic, if I see it I'll def post it.

And there it is, reply #100!!! It's kind of sad that it involved talking monkeys, but what the hell, I'll take it! Now on to #200!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Lol talking Monkeys sell books, you gotta be in DC to understand how though.

I'm at the point where I'm just 100% tired of seeing Dick and Starfire together, they can put him with anyone else, I doubt it'll be Babs who it should be, but anyone else would be fine. He's already told her he doesn't love her.

Thats why I'm wondering what happens to the Titans, because if Star, Donna & Cy leave and Beast Boy heads the Teen Titans the only ones left are Wally (who should be in the JLA) Roy and Raven.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yeah, I'd rather Dick gets a new love interest instead of going back to Starfire(AGAIN!!!).

I have to think that the Titans series is slated for cancellation, how can DC still put out a Titans book when more then half the team is in other comics? I've read Wally is going to be getting a co-feature in the new Flash series(which is amazingly good news if it's true), which only leaves Raven and Roy. I don't really care about Raven one way or the other, but I do like Roy a lot. Hopefully DC can find a spot for him somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I agree wholeheartedly, I kinda want him to talk to Power Girl just because I know now that her and Barb are beefed out, but I doubt it happens.

Well I gotta agree with you there, without mentioning spoilers I'll say Raven seems to have a set path on whats happening to her. I really wanna see Roy do something, even if he just got a co-feature in GA/BC's book. I am looking forward to a Wally Co-feature if that is true.

    ReplyDelete
  104. If Ollie does join the JLA, why not add Roy to GA/BC and change the title to Red Arrow and Black Canary. Roy and Dinah have great chemistry as it is(she was the one who helped him kick his heroin habit). Hell, why not toss Speedy and Connor Hawke there as well. I'd trade Ollie for three other archers any day!

From what I inadvertently read(you know how I hate spoilers)Wally will be getting a new costume, and half of the new Barry Allen Flash comic. No matter how hard I try, I'm always bumping into spoilers!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I like that Idea, I'd definitely read that, kinda like Canary and the archers in a birds of prey type deal, I could see that.

I heard about him getting a new costume, I'm very curious to see how it's gonna look, but you telling me about the co-feature was the first I'd heard of it.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Well, in the recent issues of GA/BC, Ollie walked out on BC, and Speedy just returned to the fold, so it is a definite possibility.

I hope they don't stray too far from the regular Flash costume with Wally. I still think he's earned the right to wear the Flash uniform 100 times over. And trust me, I wish I hadn't heard about the co-feature, now that potential surprise is ruined!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Ollie's an idiot, you got a hottie like Dinah and you're walking out. I bet he went to find Hal.

So in turn ya ruined it for me eh? Damn you X-Man!!! Kidding, I also hope his costume isn't too far from the Flash costume but at the same time I want something that can be synonymous with Wally. I think Synonymous is the word I'm looking for.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Dude, you know that's exactly where he went! Once he was out the door I can see him calling Hal on his cell! "Me and Dinah are on the outs again. Want to hang out?".

Mwa-ha-ha-ha!!! My evil master plan all along was to lull you into a false sense of security and then start laying all kinds of spoilers on you!!! ;)

To me Wally and Flash are kind of synonymous already. That's why I'm hoping he doesn't wind up wearing something WAY different then his Flash costume. No matter what Geoff Johns says or does, whenever I think "Flash", I think Wally West, NOT Barry Allen.

    ReplyDelete
  109. If Hal had been invented as a Blue Lantern you know he and Ollie probably would hardly have had any character interaction ever, but since their both rocking The Green, their best of friends.

*Gasp* Spoilers?! Oh noooo *takes breath* oooo! I read comics a month before you and still get spoilers, It's like you're Rip Hunter! Lol.

I would rather Barry change his costume, in the effect that Wally has earned the right to be The Flash and claim the costume as his own. But eh, Wally's new costume may look even sweeter, only time will tell.

    ReplyDelete
  110. You know what, I bet you're 100% absolutely right, if Hal would have been introduced as a different shade of Lantern, I bet DC would have never hooked Ollie and Hal up back in the 70's. But then we wouldn't have the bromance for the ages!

As I was typing up the last reply, I was thinking the same thing about Barry and Wally. If Barry were any kind of man, once he came back and realized that Wally had done such a great job upholding the Flash legacy he should have offered to change costumes, allowing Wally to continue to rock the red and yellow, while finding a new look for himself.

Ah, who's to say I'm not Rip Hunter...

    ReplyDelete
  111. Who's the bigger bromance, Hal and Ollie or Hal and Barry? Hal must be a very likable guy to have all these guys wanting to be his best buddy.

Yeah, I ean you've been gone for twenty years, I don't know how long that is in comic years but Wally's done a hell of alot to earn that suit. Barry should definitely be the one changing his attire.

Hm..If you're Rip Hunter than tell me something from the future. Dun dun dunnnn!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Oh it's definitely Hal and Ollie, hands down. They were the original hard travelling heroes, going across the country righting wrongs! "Hard travelling heroes"?!? HA!!!

Yeah, in comic years, Wally's prob been Flash for 5-6 years, it sucks that after all that time everybody is so eager to cast him aside for Barry.

Umm, umm, ah-ha, within two years, Bruce Wayne will return! Ha-ha!!! If that doesn't prove I'm Rip, what will?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Lol @ Hard traveling heroes. Well played sir, well played.

Barry's cool and all but I'm much more attached to Wally, I mean he's been Flash since literally before I was born. Kinda sucks Barry just comes back and takes his mantle, but I guess everyone in their forties is super fond of Barry Allen.

Hm... within two years? That could be anywhere from tomorrow to two years from now. Damn you Rip Hunter and your magical chalk board!!!! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  114. I think that's the thing about Wally West/Barry Allen. Guys around our age only know Wally as the Flash. All of my favorite Flash stories are from Wally's series. Hell, I probably only have a dozen Flash comics starring Barry, while I have WAY more Flash comics starring Wally. I get the feeling Dan Didio and Geoff Johns grew up as big Barry Allen fans(Dan kind of alludes to this in an interview in the back of some older DC comic)and they were hellbent on bringing Barry(and Hal)back as soon as possible.

See, that's the great thing about being Rip Hunter, if I'm right, I can point to this post and say, "See, I told you!", while if I'm wrong in two years time you won't even remember this conversation! Mwa-ha-ha!!!

    ReplyDelete
  115. Well now we have to deal with Barry, then again if someone took one of our favorite heroes we'd probably clamor for their return, i don't know about almost thirty years later though. Imagine if Bruce didn't come back until 2039.

Lmao. Well played Rip Hunter, Well played. UNLESS by telling me this you somehow change the future and the world explodes, not unlike Tim "The Jinx" Drake.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Jeez, if Bruce was gone for thirty years, I'd figure the folks running DC were completely and utterly insane!

Pfft, I'm Rip Hunter, I know just how much I can say without destroying space/time. Plus if I say too much, I can just go back in time and erase the offending post. You'd be surprised at how many of our posts I've travelled back in time and erased for the good of the future!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Hm...If you are infact the amazing Rip Hunter, then answer this question... Who will be the next member of the Batman Mythos to die? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN *coughs* Dunnnn

    ReplyDelete
  118. Um... How about... Hmmm... Ah-ha! The KGBeast! Oh wait, he's already dead... Let's see, let's say Killer Moth. Yeah, Killer Moth! He's going to die, but he'll be quickly brought back to life, so you probably won't even notice he's died!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Lol, Killer Moth. That guy is in desperate need of a revamp, I hope he gets it soon. I loved the revamp of Dr. Light from a kids villain basically to being a force to be reckoned with.

Okay Rip, if that IS your real fake name, if YOU are a time traveler, then um...why didn't Dove rise for the Black Lantern Rings?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Yeah, the job Brad Meltzer/DC did with the transformation of Dr. Light was incredible. They turned him from a joke to an a-level villain over the span of practically one issue!

    Heh heh, "real fake name"...

Umm... Hmm... Ah, I know the answer to that one, it actually the simplist thing. Unfortunately I can't tell you the answer with out risking the sanctity of time itself! If I told you, the sun would literally explode!!! Whew...

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yeah, he had to do something despicable but it made him be taken seriously, I loved the I fact that all of the Titans and Teen Titans had to gang up to beat him.

Hm..Touche' Hunter, Touche' indeed. One last question that you SHOULD see coming, name 5 things that are currently on your Chalkboard of DOOM!~!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yeah, and they could barely beat him even all together! Sure the guy was a world-class scumbag, but I wish he was still alive, he'd make a great enemy for the new Justice League.

Hmm, I could tell you, but then you may not buy the next issue of Booster Gold! Is that a cop-out answer? Yes, yes it is!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yeah thats why I hated that he got killed off, I mean he deserved it of course but he was becoming an awesome villain. I don't much care for this new Goody Two-Shoes Dr. Light.

Well played Rip, well played indeed. I can't believe you've actually won this round.

Speaking of which I wish they'd tell us who Black Beetle is, now they moved him to the Jamie Reyes second feature but I refuse to read that.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I wonder why DC decided to Kill Light off when they did. I mean we both seem to agree that he was poised to become a major villain, it's strange that they offed him when they did.

Yeah, I'm dying for the Black Beetle reveal already, he's been around for what seems like forever now and we still know next to nothing about him. Ha, I don't bother with the Reyes Second Feature either! He's such a sorry excuse for a Blue Beetle!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Seemed kinda wasted too, then again alot of deaths were wasted and overshadowed in Final Crisis, hell Bruce's overshadowed Lights, J'onn's and Both of Darkseid's deaths.

Yeah or atleast some hints so we can try to figure it out or something. And I'm also not a fan of Reyes, I wish he'd been the one to die instead of Kid/Red Devil, I was starting to like Eddie.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yeah, that's actually a good point. Since DC was obviously planning to "kill" Bats off in FC, they probably shouldn't have killed so many other characters off as well. Look at poor J'onn, who even really remembers he died in FC? His death was like an afterthought. For a character who's been a member of the JL for so long, he def deserved better.

Once again we're in complete agreement, I could tolerate Red Devil WAY more then Blue Beetle!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yeah, J'onn got screwed. I hope they bring him back eventually, I kinda grew attached to his character.

I just knew Eddie was gonna end up with Ravager or Miss Martian then next thing I know they killed him. Why oh Why couldn't it have been Blue Beetle?

Which three Teen Titans do you think have the most potential?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Once they took Eddie's powers away, it seemed like they didn't know what to do with him.

Hmm, out of the current line-up, I'll say Static, Wonder Girl and boy, I don't know, maybe Aquagirl or Miss Martian? I'm still hoping for a Teen Titans line-up that has WG, SB, Bart, Ravager, Static, Zatara, Miss Martian(just for the interaction with Ravager)and Red Robin(doubtful though). That line-up(or something close)would really make me happy.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I think that was a mistake in hindsight, I mean his contract with Neron was gone but they could've come up with a better way for him to be free and keep his powers.

That team would be wonderful. I'd probably add Aquagirl and for some reason I'm starting to like Bombshell, especially with her being beefed out with Ravager. But I'd settle for any team with Static, Ravager, Kid Flash, Superboy and Miss Martian. Cassie is starting to annoy me for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  130. The problem with Cassie is that she isn't a born leader. She just can't do it. That's why I wish Jinx would show up and take leadership of the team again, although I think it's safe to say that's never going to happen. I'm not really sure who should be the leader of the team I proposed actually... Maybe the new, responsible Superboy? Ravager, Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Static are def not ready for a leadership position. See, that's the real problem with the Teen Titans, they've always been led by a Robin, and with Jinx gone, they just don't have that natural leader.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Poor Jinx, the one time he leaves and destroys something. Yeah Cassie isn't a good leader, how can I follow someone who fell for the same "That's Conner, only for it to not be Conner" trick like thirty times. I could see the new and improved Superboy leading the Titans. It'd be a good role for him too.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Yeah, if all else fails, I say give SB the leadership role. I'd be down with that.

Speaking of the Jinx, I've been reading a few older issues of Batman this week(I'll list them in my Best of the Rest post Friday)and Batman actually considers himself to be the Jinx! He flat out said so in one comic! It was after Tim's mother died, and Batman was blaming himself, thinking that because he brought Tim into his world, he had jinxed the kid.

That got me to thinking, can all of the things we'd previously blamed on Tim be attributed to Bruce? Hell, Bruce may actually be the jinx! Think about it, Bruce's parents, Dick's parents, Babs, Jason Todd, Tim's parents, Spoiler(she was a Robin), even Gotham City itself! It seems that what/whoever Bruce is around winds up facing all kinds of hardships!

    ReplyDelete
  133. I second Superboy for leadership of the league. That's the only person I can see Cassie stepping down for.

Oh the Irony, I can't wait to see what issue that is, I don't even know how Tim's mom died now that I think of it. Just for the record, I think we know who the REAL Jinx is. *wink, wink*

Lol. Good point...maybe BOTH of them are jinxes. Because Tim could also be attributed for his parents, Spoiler and Conner. Anyone with the Wayne name is a jinx, I'll gladly accept that.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Ah, but you see, that's why Batman's arguement that HE'S the jinx is so interesting. If Tim never entered Batman's life, would all of those people(Tim's parents, Steph, SB)be dead? Once Tim hooked up with Bats, he lost his mother and his father was paralized. Before Tim met Bruce, everything in Tim's life seemed normal. The more I think of it, it's like Bruce has this disease where when he gets close to you, folks around you begin to die!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Lol, then why is Alfred still alive, seems like he and Gordon would be the most obvious of deaths. See now I'm conflicted, I don't know WHO take The Jinx mantle. I suggest Battle for The Jinx, someone call Tony Daniels.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Maybe that can be the name of the storyline Bruce returns in, "Battle for the Jinx"! Hmm, yeah, Alfred and Gordon should have def died years ago if Bruce was the jinx... Well, Gordon did lose his wife and his daughter was paralized due in part to connections to Bats, so he's def suffered colateral damage, as for Alfred... Hmm, I don't know, maybe he's immune to Bruce's jinx powers 'cause he's British or something.

  137. Lol! Immune because he's British. That'd be sweet. And good point about Gordon's family. Well um... lets see. Damn, Bruce also cause Selina to get her heart stolen, so I have no excuses it looks like Bruce IS the jinx. Looks like YOU owe Tim Drake an apology. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  138. Ha! I like the way you're throwing all the blame on me!

How about we just say that Bruce's Jinxability is like a contagious disease and that Tim has caught it. That way they can BOTH be Jinxes.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Lol, of course, you shoulda seen it coming Rip Hunter.

I'm more than fine with that, and since Bruce is dead his Jinxability ALSO moves on to Tim thereby doubling it and cleansing Bruce of HIS Jinxability. So once again Tim is the Jinx, all thanks to my genius-ness and a little help from you :) Lol

    ReplyDelete
  140. Oh yeah, as Rip Hunter OF COURSE I saw that blame shifting coming...

Wow, double the jinxability?!? I guess now whenever he even looks your way you get jinxed. I can almost see Tim walking down the street and all kinds of horrible things happening behind him due to his overwhelming jinxability.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Did you Rip, did ya really? or are you BS'ing me? Are you really Guy Gardner?! Lol

I immediately thought of the old Looney Tunes Cartoons where the dude is walking and safes and piano's and whatnot are just falling behind him. Thats Tim Drake to a tee.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Oh no, I'm DEFINITELY Rip Hunter. There's no doubt about it... Yep, no doubt at all... None... Ahem...

Ha, yeah, that fits Tim so well! Except with his luck the anvils would all be landing on top of people he knows!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ah, sucks for you, atleast Gardner is dating um...Fire..or Ice..one of em. I forget. And Rip is just cruising through time like Carmen Sandiago.

Tim's the type of guy that you wanna stay FAR away from. Notice how when Tim was in the Titans so many Titans died, yet when he leaves only Eddie died...someone needs to get Red Robin in a crossover with Blue Beetle and kill Reyes off. I'm sure Yost can do it.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Guy's dating Ice. Don't ask me why though! She must have REALLY low standards! Where in the world is Rip Hunter!

Ooo, you know, I might put aside my blinding hatred for Yost's work and read that x-over, only because you just know Reyes is going to bite the bullet in it! Then again, I prob still wouldn't read it. My sister still reads Red Robin, I'd prob just ask to borrow her issue instead of wasting my own money!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Yeah, I knew it was one of those. I wonder who Fire's with, if Ice has standards that low, maybe I have a shot. Where's Waldo Hunter, I can see him with a big Red and white chalkboard hiding in random spaces.

Aww she still reads Red Robin? The force is strong in that one. How's she gonna react when she finds out her favorite chracters keep getting offed in Blackest Night. Who else does she like so I know my faves are safe.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Yeah, my sister is probably the most diehard Tim Drake fan I know. She's read the entire Robin series and countless other Jinx related comic books. She's by far my expect when it comes to Jinx related stuff.

Ooo, she was PISSED after reading BN #4(as I knew she would be!). I was like, "Well, even though your fav characters are getting killed off, you've got to admit the story is really strong." and she was all, "Right now I'm beginning to hate the entire storyline!". I think her top three(living)DC heroes are Kyle Rayner, Jinx and Green Arrow, although Huntress, Red Arrow, Jason Todd may be up there as well. Let's all hope Jason Todd stays out of the BN storyline!

It seems that by reading all of those Jinx comic books, his jinxability has rubbed off on her and now all of her favorite characters are paying the price... Does Tim's jinxability know no end?!?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Wow, well if she mentions that Red Robin actually improves, let me know and I'll pick it back up. Speaking of that, what happens to Tim and his Red Robin Mantle when Bruce does come back?

Wow, that's an awesome response from a clearly avid comic reader. Well I'm with her on GA, Red Arrow & Jason, none of them better get killed off. I don't care too much about Kyle, and I doubt Helena even shows up. And Jinx is un-kill-able due to the fact that his Jinxability only works on those AROUND him.

Lmao, that's was awesome. I genuinely laughed hard as hell at that. Poor Jinxy, jinxing your sister. And we though Jason Todd being blown the hell up by his own Mom mean he had bad luck.

    ReplyDelete
  148. That's a good question, 'cause didn't Tim pretty much tell SB in Adventure Comics #3 that the only reason he's wearing the Red Robin costume is for some kind of punishment? With Bruce back, you'd think he wouldn't need to punish himself anymore.

Hey, you know what, Hal and company should just send the Jinx after Nekron all by himself, I'd bet Nekron's black power battery would fall on him or a meteor would strike him and kill him, thus ending Blackest Night and making the Jinx the greatest hero of all-time!

Yeah, she has actually given me the entire Robin series to read, and I have to say, I'm genuinely afraid to start reading them! I don't want that massive jinxability to start rubbing off on me too!

Nah, I don't think Jason Todd was the one with bad luck, I think that was all Bruce's fault. Remember, Bruce was the original jinx, so I figure it was Bruce's bad luck that caused all of Jason's misfortune.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yeah, yet he can't take the Robin role back, he's not gonna be Nightwing because I would hope if anyone was it'd be Dick. So he kinda HAS to stay as Red Robin, or make a new persona...or...um die.

Lol, I can imagine Tim bumping into Nekron and he just spontaneously combusts. Then Tim's celebrated throughout the universe but even his statues bring bad luck so everyone dies...except Tim of course.

I would name examples of what could happen, but knowing Jinx they'd probably happen, so Instead I will not.

Damn, Bruce gets his parents killed, Dick's parents killed because he just HAAAAAD to go to the circus, Tim's parents killed, and Jason killed by his OWN parent. Man...I don't know, he may be worse than Tim.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I kind of think that Tim is going to be Red Robin for good now, even when Bruce comes back. Even though it was Jason's ID first, I think by the time Bruce returns Jinx will have made the role his own.

Ha, yeah, all the heroes celebrate Jinx's victory on the Watchtower and it winds up crashing into the sun or something!

Yeah, Bruce is like the living death that walks!

    ReplyDelete
  151. I like the idea that of everyone to take the "disgraced mantle" it's the Jinx. If that's the case why isn't Nightwing a disgraced name, Jason KILLED people as Nightwing. But eh..oh well. I'm happy with Jinx staying as Red Robin.

I honestly think I'd be more mad at the heroes for even letting The Jinx get that close to them. I know they whisper to one another about Tim being bad luck.

Bruce is the Human equivalent of the Black Flash, and Joker with his white skin is the Human Specter...man That just made me think lol.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Good point about the Nightwing name. My guess is that someone at DC thought the Red Robin costume looked good, so they had to figure out a way to get it on an established character. Same here, if Jinx stayed as Red Robin, I'd be fine with that, although I still wish when Dick became Batman Tim graduated to Nightwing.

Ha, I could see all the heroes whispering to each other about the misfortune of the Jinx.
Flash:"Hey GL, did you here what happened to Tim now?"
    Green Lantern:"No, now what?"
Flash:"Well, it seems his ex-girlfriend, his aunt, his mailman and his dog all died in seperate incidents." Poor Jinx...

    ReplyDelete
  153. I don't know if you heard about the World's Finest four issue series but it's Superman Family/Batfamily team ups and the first Issue is a team up with Nightwing and Red Robin, it was pretty good btw.

Lol @ Jinx's bad luck. That's why Bruce has Joker, Dick hasTwo-Face and Tim has no one, because no one want's to risk death in being Tim's mortal enemy.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Yeah, I actually have the first issue laying around here somewhere. I'll def give it a look sometime this week.

Ha, it's hilarious that even the crazy villains in Gotham realize the dread power of the Jinx. When you can't get a mortal enemy in Gotham, you know there's a problem!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Exactly. And you thought Damien was dangerous, Tim's the one that should be written as a killing Machine. I can see Tim as mortal enemies with like...The Spector just because he thinks Tim is the Grim Reaper due to all the deaths he causes.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Tim Drake-Wayne, the living embodiment of the Anti-Life Equation. See, if Darksied would have went right after Tim in Final Crisis, he'd have won, hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Of course...EXCEPT, Superman was recording his solo album nearby so Darkseid would have been dead instantly. See even the Jinx-ness Jinxes Darkseid.

I wish Barbara would've just went looking for Tim then we wouldn't have had to sit through that stupid mini-series that had her to go Japan or China for no reason whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  158. The thought of Superman recording a solo album is just insanely funny to me. I don't know why, but I just can't see Supes hanging out in a recording studio. Out of curiousity, what kind of album would Supes have been recording?

I think we're lucky Babs didn't go looking for Jinx, who knows what would have happened to her! You're playing with fire whenever you go asking Jinx for help.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Lol, he'd of course have to leave every few seconds to save people but the album would be fly...pun intended I guess. And of course it'd be a medly featuring such gues stars as Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Hannah Montanah, Black Canary, Beyonce, a rock song with Lobo and a duet with him and Batman.

She'd get her legs healed, only for Tim to be trying out his new Bat/Bird-a-rangs? that would inevitable hit her in the back of both kneecaps rendering her unable to walk again...man that seemed harsh..

    ReplyDelete
  160. I'd pay practically any price to hear the duet between Supes and Bats! I mean literally ANY price! It be even better if the duet was something really sappy, that would be awesome(yet terribly disturbing...)

Hey, you ask the Jinx for help and you've got to expect stuff like that to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I thought of some random lyrics today, lol they're very bad but I'm happy with them.

Supes: I'm the face of DC Comics....
Bats: No Clark you're just the Ass.
Supes: You better take that back or you'll be eating a laser blaaaaaast.
Bats: Don't be that way Clark, you don'y wanna fiiiiight, because my Microphone is made out....of..Kryp...to...Niiiiiite *high pitched singing*

Yeah...I know that was lame but hopefully I got a laugh outta ya.

So today I found out there's a DC Comix villain named Jinx and that REALLY blew my mind. Can Tim sue for copyright infringement?

    ReplyDelete
  162. You had me rolling with the microphone made out of Kryptonite line! That was all kinds of awesome! I bow to your rhyming skills.

Another Jinx?!? If this Jinx and Tim ever got together would like the entire DCU just cease to exist or something? There'd have to be some kind of horrible, catastrophic results I'd think.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Lol glad you enjoyed it, thought i was gonna get a "what the hell?" moment from ya. I feel much better about this friendship now lol.

I think the reason this Jinx is un-heard of is because her Jinx-ness makes her so obscure she's not even important...but I think I know who Tim's gonna marry now. And the universe would implode..wait no, because Yost would just kill her off.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Ah, so this second Jinx is female. Interesting. Jeez, imagine how horribly unlucky any offspring from the Jinx's would be!

With Yost that totally goes without saying. He'd kill her, along with 10 other characters off just for the hell of it. That guy is like the comic book serial killer or something.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Man...I can't even imagine. I think upon conception the DC Universe would explode and every comic past and present would just be blank white panels.

Lol I wonder if anyone's ever brought it to his attention at like a comic-con or something. "Yost stop killing everyone's favorite characters just for the sake of it, It doesn't make you cool!"

    ReplyDelete
  166. That blank white panels reference reminds me of the beyond awesome Age of Apocalypse, or BENDIS' lame rip-off attempt, the House of M. Ahh the Age of Apocalypse...

I'd def bring it up to Yost.
Me: "Hey Chris, could you PLEASE stop randomly killing comic book characters off?"
Yost: "But that makes my comic books COOL and EDGY!"
Me: "No, it doesn't. It's just wasteful."
Yost: "If you kill off 25 characters in one comic book, that means the comic book is REALLY important! Death equals sales!"
Me: "Huh? No it doesn't. Death means no more characters. Think about where the Marvel U would be if the guy who took over X-Men decided to kill off Wolverine 25 years ago, or over in DC if the guy who took over Batman killed off Dick Grayson 50 years ago."
Yost: "Well, it's not like I'd ever kill EVERYBODY. I would never kill off X-23, who I created by the way!"
Me: "Yes, I know you created a one-dimensional female clone of Wolverine. The characters you killed off were WAY more interesting then X-23."
Yost: "But they weren't as COOL and EDGY as X-23 is!"
Me: "You're missing the point. X-23 is boring and one-dimensional--"
    Yost: "But COOL and EDGY!"
Me "I can see I'm not going to get anywhere with this conversation... I guess I'll move on."
Dread Lord BENDIS: "Me am likes X-Man. Him's is me favorite!"
    Me: *Head explodes*

    ReplyDelete
  167. I don't know anything about EITHER of those...I know you're ashamed. Lol jk care to explain?

Lmao, that was one of the highlights of my day because I could SO see him repeatedly saying that like its a justifiable answer. Cool and Edgy!!! hm...if you ever make another blogspot, Cool and Edgy NEED to be in the title.

    ReplyDelete
  168. *Gasp* You don't know about the Age of Apocalypse??? By FAR my favorite x-over EVER??? Before I get into either, remember that my first love in comics is all things mutant, so I always regard good mutant stories VERY highly.

First up is the AOA storyline. Prof. X's crazy son(Legion)decides that if Magneto wasn't always pestering his old man the Prof's life would be WAY easy. So Legion decides to go back in time to when Prof X and Mags first meet and kill Mags. Well, Prof X and the X-Men find out about Legion's plan and the Prof sends a few X-Men back in time to stop Legion. Unfortunately, the X-Men blow it big time and Legion accidentally kills Prof X in the past, which undoes everything he did in his life(found the X-Men, have Legion, etc.). Apocalypse witnesses the death of Prof. X on TV and decides with the Prof out of the way, he'll try to take over the world 20 years earlier then he originally tried, and with no Prof. X or X-Men around to stop him, he succeeds. Fast Forward 20 years and you're in the Age of Apocalypse, a terrible place where evil mutants rule the entire planet(except for Europe, which humans still control)and Magneto and his X-Men(named after his fallen friend)fight against Apocalypse's tyranny. The AOA storyline is basically about Magneto's forces learning that Prof. X was never supposed to die, and trying to right that wrong. Trust me, it's WAY better then this quick and sloppy recap might lead you to believe. It was actually a really ballsy project, with Marvel "cancelling" all of the X-books for the 4 months the AOA took place and renaming them. The entire x-over is prob about 40+ issues long, and it is BY FAR the crown jewel of my comic book collection. My AOA books have their own seperate crate, apart from everything else. Once every few years I'll take out the entire epic and read them issue by issue exactly as they came out back in the mid-90's. One quick word of warning though, I'm not sure how a non X-fan would view the x-over.

House of M occured about 10 years after AOA and was penned by the one and only Dread Lord BENDIS(back when I was still a HUGE fan of his work and he was still Bendis). The Scarlet Witch goes crazy and destroys the Avengers before she winds up going catatonic. Magneto takes his comatose daughter back to his island home of Genosha and tries to help her fractured mind heal. The X-Men and the Avengers decide to have a meeting to decide what to do about the crazy Scarlet Witch. Some want to kill her for what she did to the Avengers, and her twin brother Quicksilver gets wind of that. Quicksilver tells Magneto what the heroes are up to and QS manages to awaken SW long enough for her to use her reality altering powers to rewrite history and make Magneto the undisputed king of the world, and mutants the majority ruling class, with humanity a dying breed. The main HoM storyline revolves around a few characters learning that Magneto was never supposed to become the king of the world and they try to fix the mess SW made of the world(sound familiar?). The HoM storyline itself is exceptionally good(BENDIS can write a good alternate reality story because he can disregard everyone's normal behaviors)but the ending was one of the worst things to EVER happen to the Marvel U.

Whew, that was a lot of typing! I should have just did a post on these two x-overs at the other blog! Meh, maybe one day when I have some extra time I will.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Oh yeah, and if I do start up another blog, "Cool and Edgy" will most definitely be the title! Better yet, if you start up a new blog, you should totally take that name!

    ReplyDelete
  170. That sounds awesome, kinda like a big what if/elseworld story. So I'm guessing they found a way back and saved Prof.?

Ahhh what happened at the end of House of M? I must know now.

Cool and Edgy time with Jason Todd. And just have a bunch of pics of heroes looking Cool and/or Edgy. Of course Superboy would dominate it with his awesome leather coat and sunglasses.

Actually he might be the only one...can you think of any other Cool or Edgy characters besides SB and um...X-23?

    ReplyDelete
  171. Yeah, both stories were pretty much What If/Elseworlds stories, except you also had a few real Marvel characters in there as well.

Yeah, Magneto's teams managed to gather the ultra powerful Mkran crystal and sent Bishop back in time(he was already a time traveler, so he was the best choice)to stop Legion from killing Prof. X. Bishop instead wound up forcing Legion to stab himself with his own psychic knife, which killed him(for a time anyway)and restored reality to the way it was supposed to be. That was another one of the great things about the AOA story, Magneto and company knew that if they succeded, they would basically be wiped out of existance and replaced by other characters.

As for the end of the House of M, three simple words, "No more mutants."... After finding out that her father and brother had used her to create the mutant dominated HoM world, Scarlet Witch righted reality, but erased the mutant gene from almost every Marvel character. I'll never understand that logic. IMO the main thing that seperates Marvel and DC is Marvel's mutant population. Why would you try to kill your cash cow???

Hmm, I think it depends on your definition of Cool and Edgy. Me, I'd go with Daken(Wolverine's son), X-Man(of course!), Starman, but once again, what exactly constitutes a character as being Cool and Edgy?

    ReplyDelete
  172. Wow...that's probably the dumbest thing I've heard of Marvel doing. Mutants = Marvel. Didn't Spidey hang himself or something? I recall reading that.

Hm...in the vein of Yost who can we find that's reminiscent to X-23?

    ReplyDelete
  173. Yeah, it makes no sense from a business point of view or a storyline point of view. Now since there can be no new mutants, the X-Men basically have no new mutants villains to fight. The X-comics have fallen off SO dramatically in recent years it's really a shame. However, Marvel is making the great decision to bring back my namesake, X-Man back, so hopefully that will spice up the otherwise bland x-universe.

HA! I HONESTLY can't remember Spidey hanging himself, although after the terrible One Last Chance/Brand New Day stuff, I wouldn't blame him if he did!

Well, if we're going to choose characters that get preferential treatment from writers, Yost and X-23 would def be #1 on the list. Chris Claremont is really bad with favoring characters he creates as well, he over uses Shadowcat, Rachel Grey and Sage like crazy. We'd also def have to add Grant Morrison and Damian. To me, Damian is pretty much the DCU version of X-23, Grant writes Damian like frigging Superman. The way Marv Wolfman wrote Raven also always bugged me. Hmm, I'm sure there are a few others I'm not thinking of, but off the top of my head, those are the worst writer/character combinations I can come up with.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Uh oh, X-Man is coming back? You must be happy as I was when I found out Jason was returning. Hopefully they don't make your namesake into a joke like mine.

Lol I could swear I read that somewhere. But yeah his storyline's getting alot better since that debacle that is Brand new day.

Hm...I know about all the others but what did Wolfman do with Raven?

    ReplyDelete
  175. I feel the exact same way with X-Men. I'm super psyched that my all-time favorite character is making a comeback, but there's also a huge part of me that's dreading it as well... I've always thought X-Man was one of those characters with crazy amounts of potential, but for whatever reason, it was always squandered. With the way Marvel has been going lately, I wouldn't be surprised to see them mess it up though. At least BENDIS or Yost aren't doing the writing duties. Then I'd have hung myself like Spidey!

Ugh, during the New Teen Titans series, Raven must have switched between good and evil like 10 times over the course of the series! She's conflicted, she's good, she's bad, she's conflicted, she's bad, she's good, she's got amnesia, she's good... Man, that would drive me crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  176. Lol well played sir. So who is writing the inevitable return or X-Man? I may have to look into it.

Oh yeah, like the deal with her Brothers and whatnot? Yeah I hate that every kid of a bad guy is automatically a bad guy or conflicted to be a bad guy.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Paul Cornell gets the honor of bringing the great X-Man back to the Marvel U in the Dark X-Men mini-series. I haven't read a whole lot of Paul's work(I've read his issue of Young Avengers Presents, as well as Dark Reign Young Avengers), but the stuff I have read I've liked for the most part(except for the bizarre ending of DR: YA). If he does a good job on this mini, he's got a fan for life in me. If he messes it up though, look out!!!

Amen. I absolutely HATED when DC turned Jericho into a villain solely because Deathstroke was his dad. Having a bad parent doesn't make the kid evil, nor does having good parents guarantee a good kid. That Jericho turn still annoys me to this day.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Lol just wanted to make sure it wasn't someone who'd screw it up. Hope all turns out well and your guy doesn't get the Jason Todd Treatment.

This is the turn he did during Deathtrap right? The one that warranted absolutely no purpose at all?

    ReplyDelete
  179. I've got my fingers crossed on Nate's return. I've been really down on Marvel for the past year or so, but if they could bring X-Man back with a great story and establish him as a force in the Marvel U, all would be forgiven. Seriously, I'd forgive Yost's crap, BENDIS' madness, everything. Just PLEASE Marvel, don't screw this up!

Yeah, that was the story. The guy was a Titan in good standing, then all of a sudden, he was hearing dozens of voices in his head. Really? Since when did Jericho's powers work like that? My understanding of Jericho is that when he makes eye-contact with someone, he was able to take control of them. How that led to him absorbing people's personalities, I'll never know. The Jericho thing sucks, because when he's not crazy, he's a pretty likable character.

    ReplyDelete
  180. When is he scheduled to return again? You gotta remind me because I may pick it up, just so God forbid they do mess it up I'll be here to console ya lol.

Exactly, he has tons of people in his head? LAME!!! Then I can't believe he'd be smart enough to make a plan to take the Titan's bodies in a lockdown then dumb enough to refer to himself as Joseph while in Dick's body. Really? Am I supposed to believe that the SON of SLADE is THAT stupid?

    ReplyDelete
  181. The first issue of Dark X-Men has already dropped, I think a week or two ago. All I know is that Nate is returning in that mini, I don't know how much he's going to be in it or what he'll be doing. That book will be in my next CB order, which should ship next Wednesday. Man, if my order got lost again, I don't know what I'd do... I'd flip out or something.

The whole thing with Jericho just made no real sense. They'd play him up as both really smart and really dumb at the same time. What the hell? Either he's a crafty and smart villain or a bumbling idiot, you can't have it both ways!

    ReplyDelete
  182. I'll just wait until you collect the issues with his return and if you recommend it i'll check it out. Man if they lose your order again...I'd be pissed for you.

So I didn't catch the last issue of that as I believe it was in Vigilante and I'm not buying that, so i think i read your review, but I don't recall. Where's Jericho now?

    ReplyDelete
  183. If they lost my order again, I'd be afraid for everybody involved!!! They wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

Ugh... Jericho is blind(Vigilante poked out his eyes), and crazy in some jail/asylum somewhere... *shudder* What a waste that is... Can't some writer find a better way to use Jericho then THAT?

    ReplyDelete
  184. Lol would you turn into the Incredible Hulk, The Semi-Incredible Hulk, the UNcredible Hulk or Skaar the um... semi naked Hulk?

Is it just me or is someone trying to make the entire Wilson family blind? Between the three of them there is ONE pair of eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Forget it, I'd be in all out Incredible Hulk rampage mode!

HA! Great point! Three people, TWO eyes. What the hell is up with that???

    ReplyDelete
  186. Lol like really, NO One can get any eyes? Jesus Christ, their optometrist must just give out monocles. So Joseph can't body swap anymore?

Do you think the Wilson family could take the current Bat-family (Dick, Damien & Steph) in a 3 on 3 fight?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Yep, that's why Vigilante poked out his eyes. He didn't want to kill him, 'cause he promised Ravager he wouldn't, so he made it so that Jericho couldn't body swap anymore, which sucks, 'cause it makes Jericho a totally useless character...

Since Jericho is blind, I'm going to say let's make it a 2 on 2 fight between Slade/Ravager and Dick/Damian. If this took place in an alternate universe, with no bearing on anything, I'd have to go with Slade and Ravager. Slade has already proven he can take Dick, and even with all of Bruce's toys, I still think Slade takes him. Besides that, I'd definitely give Ravager the nod over Damian. She's stronger, faster, and she can see glimpses of the future. Ravager over Damian, hands down. The only shot at beating the Wilson's would be to somehow get Slade off his game, like Geoforce did in Last Will and Testament or Ollie did in Identity Crisis, and I just don't think Dick would be able to.

    ReplyDelete
  188. So now Jericho is just a blind useless character that can't do anything. Can't switch bodies, can't do anything unless he gets a friggin eye transplant? They were better off just killing him off.

I gotta agree with that as well. I forgot Jericho was blind when I made that 6 person fight, well in that case, lets say it's Slade and Ravager vs. Bruce and Cassandra Cain, then who's your pick?

    ReplyDelete
  189. I honestly can't figure out why they didn't just kill Jericho off at the end of the Deathtrap series. Matbe they didn't want him showing up for Blackest Night or something...

Hmm, I think I'd probably go with Bats and Cass. Bats and Slade would at least stalemate each other, and Cass was written as this unbeatable squashing machine, so I can't see Ravager taking her one on one. With Rose defeated, I just can't see Slade fending off both Bruce and Cass.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Well now he's doomed to never be used again. Unless he manifests new powers or something Jericho's appearances are gonna be diminished tenfold.

I believe in Titans east they mentioned that Cass did beat Rose in a fight before. I never read the actual fight though. I'd agree with you there too though.

So, we're ten comments away from the epic 200 and I am completely outta topics, so I'm gonna hand the hosting duties over to you X. GO!

  191. I'll still hold out very slight hope that the fact that Jericho wasn't killed means that somebody working for DC has some sort of plans for the guy. That's something, right?

Hmm, I'll have to go and dig out those old Titans comics to see what I can find. I don't remember seeing Cass and Rose fight though, maybe it happened in the old Batgirl comic.

Yipes, the pressure! Umm, let's see... Write me a 5-7 page paper on Sparticus! No? OK, let's see what else I can come up with. Ah-ha, I've got it! Since the JLA is getting a new line-up pretty soon, it's actually kind of relevant too. Give me your ideal 8 person JLA line-up and why you've decided to pick each character. No restrictions, living or dead. I'll think up my own team and after you post yours we can compare.

  192. Yeah, hopefully they do something with the guy. Give him some new eyes, new power, make him an excellent fighter or something. The Wilson family is known for excellence.

I believe it did happen in the Batgirl Comic because I remember seeing the cover of that issue online after I looked up the fight. And they said Cass was the only person who'd beat Rose in a straight fight at that time.

Lol @ the 5-7 page paper. You got real, Dave Chappelle laughs for that one. Alright, good topic.

Ideal JLA Line up, lead by Nightwing, in his own costume instead of the Batman costume because he's earned the right to be looked at as a leader and outta Bruce's shadow. Wally West as the designated Flash of the group. Superboy and Donna Troy to complete the Trinity of a Bat/Amazon/Kryptonian and as my hard hitting female. I'd want Green Arrow as the older member to have disputes with the team, try to run things his way and clash with Dick's leadership. Captain Marvel so we can have a magic based member of the team without calling in Zatanna. We need a Green Lantern and you can't go wrong with Hal Jordan, plus Ollie would always be off with him anyway. And lastly the Comedic character and the eventual savior of the team, Booster Gold.

So Final team would be Nightwing, Donna Troy, Power Girl, Green Arrow, Green Lantern (Hal), Flash (Wally), Captain Marvel & Booster Gold. So....my team seems too powerful lol, who's yours?

  193. Wow, that's one hell of a strong line-up! You'd have to bring up some crazy powerful villains to deal with those guys. I actually like your team more then my own! My team is way more traditional then yours is. First off, I'd go with the big three, Supes, Bats and WW. After that, I'd add Ollie, Hal and Hawkman. Ollie and HM never get along, and Ollie and Hal almost need to be on the team together. I also chose Booster to be the comedic relief on the team(great minds think alike!)with Batgirl(Spoiler)rounding out the team as the newbie/extra woman.

So my final line-up is Bats, Supes, WW, Hal, Ollie, Hawkman, Booster and Batgirl. OK, now that we've got our teams together, hows about you let me know why/how your team would beat mine. After I check out what you have to say, I'll post what I figure would happen if my JLA took on yours(hint: they'd win!).

  194. Lol well, My team would be triumphant because, I'd have Captain Marvel go after Supes, SB take on Hawkman, Green Arrow and Hal take on Hal and Ollie of your team but switched opponents, PG go after Dianna, Nightwing after Bruce, Booster vs. Batgirl, I think he could take her, and Flash vs Booster. And my team would be triumphant because they'd work together. Lol now go ahead and crush my team and dreams in one post.

  195. Call me "X-Man, dreamcrusher"!!! First off I've got Bruce on my side, so that right there should be reason enough for my team winning! You just know Bruce would have the perfect strategies picked out for each of your guys.

First off I'd stalemate the three members we both choose(Ollie/Hal/Booster), so they'd all be out of the fight. I'd then have Donna fight Supes(they'd be almost matched strengthwise, but if a robot of Supes could kill Donna, I'm sure the real thing could beat her). I'd pit Bruce and his Kryptonite Ring against PG(easy win), while pitting Batgirl against Dick and Hawkman against Wally. Finishing things up would be WW against Marvel(Powerwise they'd be practically the same, but I'd thing WW could take Marvel with her superior hand-to-hand fighting skills). I could see Dick and Wally beating Steph and Hawkman, which would leave Supes, Bats and WW on my side against Dick and Wally for you... Need I say what would happen next? :p

  196. Lmao, I knew you'd play the Bruce Card. Dammit I shoulda got Manhunter so he could read his mind or something.

Lmao my team just gor crushed. You win this game sir...who would you have take on my team if you could only pick villains?

    ReplyDelete
  197. Pfft, you just know Bruce would have something in his cowl that would prevent Manhunter from peeking into his brain!

Now that's a much tougher task... Let's see, I think since you have such a powerhouse team, I'd try to put together a team of villains even more powerful then the guys you have. I'd start off with Slade, Zoom and Sinestro. That gives me my stratigist, speedster and crazy alien with a power ring. Next I'd take Metallo because of his Kryptonite heart and Bolt because of his lighting abilities. I'd finish things off with Superboy Prime, Inertia and Scarecrow, mainly because I like all three of them! All in all, I think this team would probably have a pretty good shot at taking down your team, provided Slade/Sinestro could get them to all work together!

  198. Lol I knew you'd say that. Bruce has no weaknesses eh...maybe I should just call in Alfred.

I love that crazy alien with a power ring is a category. That's a hell of a team, but my team while powerful has less of an ego, your team would implode with Slade, Sinestro and Zoom trying to lead, Inertia is a wild card, Prime would just beat up everyone else on the team. Scarecrow would follow the winner to their impending doom at the hands of my Super Justice League.

  199. Crazy alien with a power ring should be a must for ANY team of supervillains! You know, I think Zoom would probably be the hardest one to keep in check on that team. Somehow Slade would have trick Zoom into thinking that he'd actually be helping the heroes in the long run, not, you know, killing them. I think Slade could convince Inertia to stay in line, they seemed to have a good relationship in both the Teen Titans and Flash: The Fastest Man Alive. Normally I'd say Prime WOULD be a major problem, but he was a member of Sinestro's Corps for a while, so who knows, maybe he'd listen to Sinestro.

Super Justice League? Hmm, I like that name alot!

    ReplyDelete
  200. Good point, I forgot about Slade keeping Inertia in line when they teamed up, but after he killed Weather Wizards baby I have a hard time believing he'd work well with anyone. I could see Zoom falling for a trick like that but once he finds out the truth I wouldn't be surprised if he turned on your Super Injustice League. And yeah, Prime MAY listen to Sinestro but you and I both know Prime will never listen to anyone for more than thirty minutes before declaring himself leader. Plus my team would just sitback with popcorn and watch your team implode. Aww yeah, Super Justice League!

SJL has a nice ring to it if I do say so myself. Btw looks like you get the honorary number 200.
