A random blog for random pictures!
Nah, of course he didn't. (this is the part you make me look dumb and say he did do it.)
You got it JT. She does eventually die later on though, but not thanks to Wolvie's claws.
Ah, whats her deal anyway?
Well geez. I wish he would put them claws to my throat. JT will kill him! lol. Tha art is fantastic in this by the way. So good makes me want to read it lol.
It's been a while since I read this story, but I think she was a bigtime drug lord in Mexico who let a bunch of people die, so Wolvie came a-calling, only to find out she was pregnant, which kind of put a damper on his whole, "I'm gonna kill me a drug lord!" idea. The art here was pretty nice, wasn't it. Definitely better then the first storyarc. I can tell you that the artist was Leandro Fernandez, Falisha. Before you pick it up though, a warning... It was written by your arch-nemesis, Greg Rucka!
Well, dang, seems to put him in a hard place. Wolverine is so awesome though. Only he can get away with holding sharp claws to a pregnant woman's neck. lol. Leandro Fernandez? Hmm I;'ll have to check him out. Always looking for new artists to envy. And Greg Rucka you say....damn him. Well, was it good reading?
"which kind of put a damper on his whole, "I'm gonna kill me a drug lord!" idea." Lmao, I could so picture him saying that, just throw in a "bub."
I was not a huge fan of Greg Rucka's tenure on Wolverine. I felt like he just sort of turned Wolverine into a mindless butcher, which was a far cry from what Frank Tieri had been doing with the book. There was some nice art during this time though...I know Rucka's first art was done by Darick Robertson, and this second one (and third, maybe?) were by Leandro Fernandez, who would go on to do Punisher MAX.
I'd say that Greg's Wolvie run was... OK Falisha... It def wasn't awesome or anything(and I'd def agree with Marc, about it being a gar cry from Frank Tieri's AWESOME Wolvie run), it was just OK.Wow Marc, I have NO idea how you knew all of that! Just a slight correction though, it was Darick, then Leandro and then Darick again for the third arc. I can remember which writers worked on what comics, but I bow to you for knowing the artists as well! You're so right JT! Just put a "bub" after drug lord and that's exactly how Wolvie would have said it!
Ah okay, wasn't sure about that third arc since I never read it...the first two stories just didn't do it for me. I remember it was called "Return of the Native" though. Although I usually like Robertson's art, I don't particularly care to read that third arc because I didn't really like the way he drew Wolverine in the first arc.
Yeah, the first arc really wasn't overly impressive at all artwise(as you can see from the scan I posted for Wolvie #5). The third arc was a lot better though... Maybe he had a different inker or something. It's crazy that you've never read the arc but that you still knew the name of it! Once again, I am impressed!
I just remember random stuff like that, I guess. Like I remember the fifth issue of Exiles was the first part of a story called "Up North and in the Green" and it had Morph turning into a chicken in the first few pages and running away from the Hulk. For whatever reason I found that to be absolutely hilarious when I first read it. Man, I wish I could use all this apparent space in my memory for something more useful...
I can remember covers really well, most of the stories I've read, and who the writer was, but there's NO way I can remember things like the TITLE of the story, or who the artist is, etc! I keep saying it, but that brain of yours continues to impress me, Marc!
