Yes, yes they did JT. Lol. Jk. I love how soo many superheroes/villains are named after animals, well not SOO many but a lot. Wolverine, Sabretooth, Batman, Catwoman, Spiderman, Black Widow, Black Canary, Hawkman and Hawkgirl etc. etc. :)
No, they really did kill off Sabretooth guys! It was around Wolverine #50(I don't remember if it happened in that issue or around it), and he was most definitely dead. I'll prob be up to those issues by Fri or Sat, so look for Sabretooth's death scene then.
Wow, there really are a lot of animal based super-hero names, aren't there...
Ugh, I hated that stupid Loeb/Bianchi story. At that point I had been reading Wolverine for a solid 70-80 issues since the beginning of Tieri's run (minus the last Greg Rucka story and a couple of other random issues), and I dropped the book after the second issue of that crap. Just terrible.
Marc, it was one of the worst Wolverine stories that I have ever read, and I've read almost all of them! Thank god Jeph's run only lasted 6 issues, because if it would have went any longer, who knows what Jeph would have come up with next!
I still get kind of annoyed when I see that things he introduced (like Romulus) are still a part of the Wolverine books. Granted, maybe other writers have made something decent out of them, but it kind of sucks for them that they're still dealing with the mess Loeb created so long ago now.
I absolutely HATED the Romulus idea when it was first introduced(I still do actually, because it just makes NO SENSE!!!), but Daniel Way has really done an admirable job of making something out of that mess. I'm actually pretty excited about the current Origins/Dark Wolvie x-over, because it's supposed to be the conclusion(maybe)to the whole Romulus affair, with Wolvie and Daken joining forces to take Romulus down once and for all.
I guess I'll have to give Daniel Way another chance one of these days. I liked his Origins & Endings arc from Wolverine (the one that came right after House of M and was a lead-in to the main Wolverine: Origins series), but I've never liked anything else of his that I've read. I read the first few issues of Wolverine: Origins, but it didn't feel as tightly plotted as that initial arc so I dropped it (even though I LOVE Steve Dillon). So out of curiosity, how do you think Origins and Dark Wolverine compare to some of his earlier issues?
Well, I'm an unabashed Daken fan, so you should definitely keep that in mind as I go on about Daniel's work. If you don't like Daken, chances are you're not going to get into much of Daniel's work, since Daken is so intertwined with Wolvie through most of Origins and Dark Wolverine.
With that said, Dark Wolverine is one of my favorite Marvel comics. Hands down. I love the complexity of Daken's character, which is probably why I tend to enjoy Dark Wolverine so much. As for Origins, I'd definitely say that Daniel has improved a lot from the beginning of that series. I didn't hate the first few issues, but they definitely weren't great. After his first two(I think)storyarcs, he wound up introducing Daken, which then led to a few really long storylines, which has all culminated with what looks to be the long awaited end of the Romulus stuff.
BRING VICTOR BACK! the one killed was a degenerated clone, it's too obvious (Sinister forgot to burn him...he gets sloppy around sundays) Sabretooth is in Miami currently ,enjoying a glass of wine in a room filled with pictures of his victims while listening to "be happy" Once he'll return he will play really dirty mind games with x-23 & Jubilee about being a killer in nature just to spite Gambit & Logan & will either team-up with Daken or show what the word SADISM really means
The Sinister explanation works perfectly... It would make complete sense, hell, it could even be Sabretooth himself who sent the clone out to get killed, just to give himself a chance to lay low for a while.
We never really got an X-23/Tooth showdown, did we? See, there's yet another reason to bring Sabretooth back!
Where is Sabretooth anyway? I know they didn't kill him off did they?

Yep, it was def Wolvie who did the honors. I'll be posting that scan prob on Sat, so you'll be able to see exactly what happened.
