Detective Comics #571(Feb. 1987)

Maybe it's just me and I'm reading too deeply into things, but MAN was I getting a weird vibe off of some of Batman's dialogue here...

  1. Lmao, thats it nice and wet...Isn't Bruce's cape fireproof anyway?!

  2. Maybe that was before he made his cape fireproof? You know, with dialogue like that, it's no surprise so many people make jokes about Bruce's relationships with the young boys he's always hanging around...

  3. Yeah, I've never known a man to hang around so many kids, but then again Bruce didn't have a childhood so I can see why he'd wanna recapture that. The old Michael Jackson theory lol. Hell atleast Ollie got Mia.

  4. Oh yeah, I'd definitely subscribe to that(missing out on his childhood)as the reason Bruce hangs out with young boys, I just wish he'd use better dialogue! Plus all the times he used to spank Dick back when Dick was Robin was just creepy... Wait a minute, did I just seriously type, "spank Dick"? Sheesh, I'm getting as bad as you JT!

  5. Lmao, the good news is you could NEVER be as bad as me. But I agree, I don't think you're supposed to spank your ward. I mean can you imagine Alfred spanking a young Bruce?

  6. Eh, the 1950's were a different time. Maybe abusing your ward was accepted by society or something!

  7. True, I mean people actually had wards then I guess....Wards. I wish some rich dude would let me be his ward.

  8. "I wish some rich dude would let me be his ward." I don't know JT... Would you really want to get saddled with a dude who makes you dress in a speedo, pixie shoes and a cape, and who occasionally spanks you?

  9. Lol good point. Then there's always a chance I could get beat with a bat by Two-Face, beat with a crowbar and blown up by Joker, Beat to oblivion by his former ward, "killed" by black mask, or Shot in the spine and have to get a new one from a rich daughter of an eco-terrorist. Man, being a Robin is a dangerous job.

  11. Lol what's worse, being a Robin or being a Teen Titan?

  12. Pfft, forget that, imagine being a Robin ON the Teen Titans!

  13. Lol maybe that's why Damian hasn't joined yet. He knows he wanna get rid of him and he knows that doubles our chances.
