Wolverine #22(Jan. 2005)

How could I not post something from one of my favorite Wolverine stories from the past 10 years, Enemy of the State?

  3. Ooo, a challenge! Wolvie gets killed and forced into joining the Hand, which is led by a dude who can kill you by simply looking at you. From there, a brainwashed Wolvie goes on a rampage and attacks(and even kills)a few super-heroes. It's like a, "What If Wolverine was Evil" comic, except it really happened! It was written by Mark Millar and pencilled by John Romita JR, so obviously the creative team was DAMN strong! It ran from Wolverine #20(Dec. 2004)-Wolverine 25. The next storyline was nearly as good as it dealt with Wolvie getting deprogramed and looking for revenge. That was by the same creative team and went from Wolverine #26-31. If you could find them, I'd have NO problem recommending them!

  4. JT, you should buy Wolverine: Enemy of the State because it was a DAMN good story. X has already described it pretty well, so I'll just add that if you want the collection of the whole story it's $29.99, but less than $20 on Amazon.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Wolvie/Human Torch fight was my favorite part, so I highly approve of this scan.

  6. I really think you'll like it JT. Before you go to get it though, check out Amazon and type in Wolverine enemy of the state. There are three versions, the first one has Wolvie #20-32(THAT'S the one to buy), while the other two trades split the story in half, doing #20-25 in one trade and #26-32 in the second trade. If you can, def go for the trade that contains the whole story. Here's hoping ya like it!
