Wolverine #55(Sept. 2007)

Happy Birthday? You kill off your worst enemy and THAT'S the best you can come up with?!? For shame Wolverine. For shame...

  1. Ugh, so dumb. Although at least the lettering was good...

  2. Man...Beheaded with a sword = Sweet. Super tight ass clothing = Eww. I mean come on, why so tight?! Sabretooth looks like friggin Beyonce.

  3. TOTALLY agreed Marc... This entire storyline made NO sense at all. It was so nonsensical that I remember getting really mad as I'd read these issues. I don't know what the hell Marvel was going for here, I really don't. The weirdest thing was that Jeph Loeb only did like 6 issues of Wolvie, and turned everything upside-down, and NOT in a good way!

Heh heh... You know, after taking a look JT, it kind of looks like Tooth's outfit is painted on in certain spots which is a really disturbing thought...

  4. Lol can you imagine him, pumping iron, going to the mirror to pose and growl, then just painting his costume on? That's be...sick. And did Wolverine chop his arm off too?

  5. The image of Tooth doing that made me laugh because it would just be SO out there... I half expect to see Grant Morrison use an idea like that!

Yup, Wolvie lopped off his arm first. I guess to prove that that sword was indeed able to counteract healing factors.

  6. Lol you know he would do it to. Then go to the fridge, crack open a beer and burp VERY loud...

Ah, so Sabretooth could've killed Wolverine with that sword as well right?

  7. Yep, that sword is the great equalizer amongst muties with healing factors. As a matter of fact, Daken took a piece of the sword when it was shattered and had it implanted on two of his six claws, so he could VERY easily kill Wolvie off if Marvel wanted to do something REALLY bold... To be honest, if Wolvie wasn't in like EVERY Marvel comic, I could see that happening at the end of the current Dark Wolverine/Wolverine Origins x-over.

  8. Ah I recall you explaining his 2 claws could do that but I didn't know why. So he could even kill Deadpool? Pretty awesome. I'd love to see Wolvie get killed off, have they killed him off before?

  9. I'd answer your question JT, but instead I'll just say...wait until you read your copy of Enemy of the State. :)

  10. Yup, Daken can kill any character with a healing factor. He cuts somebody like Deadpool with those underside claws, and they don't heal from that... He hasn't popped them since they were made for him, I guess because when he does, he himself won't be able to recover from the puncture wound the claws make when they come out of his skin.

Ha, Marc took the words right out of my mouth! I'll leave it at that!

  11. Pretty Sweet, I need to read more Daken. OH I borrowed a buddy's Spiderman: Siege or whatever, and when the hell did SPidey start liking Ms. Marvel?!

Lol will do guys...will do. I actually read that second part of Spiderman Noir. The man without eyes or whatever, it was good, not good as the first but good.

  12. Peter Parker and Carol Danvers went out on a date in one of the last issues of Ms. Marvel's series. It was actually a pretty funny story.

And can we expect a review of the sequel to Spider-Man Noir at some point in the near future?

  13. You read the Ms Marvel series Marc? Huh... She just never really did much for me character wise.

I'm sure JT will be gracing us with a review of the next part of Spider-Man Noir sometime soon, right JT?

  14. What issue is that Marc, I wanna pick it up when I get a chance. So she knows he's Peter Parker?

And sure, if you guys want a review ya got one, I'll try to post it um...Thursday, if not this Weekend since I'm doing Ratings and Rantings too. Btw Marc I already told X but I'm loving Enemy of the State, I'm at the part where Wolvie attacks Daredevil on his couch and it's been amazing so far.

  15. The date with Peter Parker (issue 47) is the only issue I've read of Ms. Marvel's series. Normally I think she's a pretty boring character, but she and Spider-Man have actually developed a pretty interesting dynamic.
