Amazing Spider-Man #375(March 1993)

Hmm, considering this is the forth day of Venom week, I think it's more then about time for me to post a Venom/Spidey battle, don't you?

And of course, Happy Birthday, JT!!!

  2. You had to know I wasn't going to forget your B-Day man! That's actually why I stopped doing my damned paper, so I could get this post up before Thursday was over.

Ha, well it IS Venom week, I think it's only fair that I show him having his way with Spidey, no?

  3. Damn dude, that means alot bro. I really appreciate that. You truly are... The man.

And yeah, you start the week with him fighting Quasar and next thing ya know he's beating up one of Marvel's poster children.

  4. Yes I am. :p

Well, after the Quasar debacle, I think I owed Venom a little bit better then that!

  5. Lol, I feel like I ask you everything, but who in the hell IS Quasar? And what powers does he have?

  6. Quasar is THE most famous super-hero to ever come out of the state of Wisconsin! How's that for an answer? Seriously though, Quasar was a Marvel character from mainly the 90's who was an Avenger, and sported the Quantum Bands, which pretty much gave him Green Lantern-ish abilities, just with a yellow/golden hue. He was also the Protector of the Universe, and wound up dying during the Annihilation storyline. He's since come back to life(kind of)in the Nova series as a being of pure energy. And that in a nutshell is Quasar!

  7. That sounds kinda...lame. And him being from Wisconsin makes him a little more lame. So, please explain to me what he does as a being of pure energy?

  8. "And him being from Wisconsin makes him a little more lame." HA!!! Exactly! I guess unless you're actually FROM Wisconsin that place must seem really lame... I mean all I know about Wisconsin is that they have a lot of cows and cheese, and that Quasar is from there!

Umm, pretty much nothing... He hangs around Nova and gives him helpful tips. I do think they're gearing up to do a little bit more with him during Marvel's Realm of Kings X-over.

  9. Right? I can picture the history of Wisconsin. Their hometown heroes being Brett Farve The Cast of That 70's Show, and Quasar!

So is he like...basically Skeets to Booster Gold now?

  10. "So is he like...basically Skeets to Booster Gold now?" Hmm, kind of I guess... I think he may be getting his solid form back pretty soon though, if I'm understanding what's been going on in the Marvel space books lately.

  11. Hm.... this sounds like more randomness in the Marvel Universe. I guess I'll just stick with Deadpool and Spidey for now. I feel like the second I like something in Marvel bendis is gonna change all the rules or someone's gonna decide everyone's Skrulls all of a sudden...

  12. Eh, since I am a bit of a Quasar fan(yes, that's right, I admitted it!!!)I kind of like the idea of him fully coming back to life. There are a lot of good books coming out of Marvel though. Just avoid anything that has BENDIS, Yost or an X-something on the cover and you'll be fine.

  13. I've read a TON of Deadpool due to me having awesome friends who let me borrow their stuff and over the weekend I got caught up on the main series and Merc with a Mouth so those are my only Marvel comics as of now.
