Batman #368(Feb. 1984)

Welcome to Jason Todd week, here at the always awesome Uncanny Comic Book Scans. Who is Jason Todd you ask? He was Batman's second Robin, a character who was never given a fair shake in the DCU during his short time as the Boy Wonder, and a character who is still being written terribly to this day.Wow, the original Tim Drake Robin outfit was actually pretty close to Jason's original costume...This was the first pre-Crisis appearance of Jason Todd as Robin. I kind of wonder if things would have been different if DC hadn't changed up his origin/how he became Robin and Dick Grayson's somewhat negative reaction to it post-Crisis...

  1. I'm sad we didn't get a welcome to Jason Todd week. :( Lol but great pick for the first day. I will say Batman sitting on a stool looks very weird to me...

  2. Yay!! Jason Todd Week!!! How awesome is that. That outfit looks eck! lol. I don't think I could take somebody serious in a get up like that.

Lol @ JT, Bats doesn't look weird to me, just reminds me of the models in my Life Drawing Classes that would do that SAME pose on a stool. Said it helped emphasized on the muscles....maybe that's why Bats is sitting in the stool. Hmmmmmm, then again maybe I'm over analyzing it. I blame the Artist in me. ^_^

  3. Man JT, do I REALLY need to welcome you to a Jason Todd week? You've known it was coming before anybody else! But if it makes you feel any better, I'll edit the post just for you! ;-)

Just to show you guys how totally oblivious I am to the pictures I post, I didn't even realize Bats was ON a stool! I had to take a second look before I noticed it! I'm usually so engrossed by the words on a page, that I miss all kinds of awesome things. That's why I need Falisha, artist extraordinaire, to point these things out to me!

  5. Lmao @ still written terribly to this day. It's so true I can't even deny it. And thanks for that. Lol I can't believe you didn't notice the stool. First think I thought was "Wow, nice costume for Ja...why the hell is Bruce on a stool?"

  6. Lol Awww X thanks for the title!!! I won't let it get to my head like you let Comic King get to yours :-P. it's all love *hugs* lol.

  7. So if I'm the ever so humble King of Comics, and Falisha is the Artist Extraordinaire, what does that make JT???

  8. I was just about to ask that, I'll let you guys decide. Pick wisely :D

  9. Lol. He's the trouble maker, always has to be one in a trio. Lol, X is Supes, I'm Wonder Woman and JT, Bats, the trouble maker!!! :D

  10. Ha! So I'm the King of Comics, Falisha is the Artist Extraordinaire, and JT is the Trouble Maker? Ouch, harsh!

  11. Lol I refuse to be the troublemaker. From this day forward I am Jason Todd, King of Comedy & Wrestling. See I get TWO because I'm that cool :D

  12. I dare say I don't want to know what I am.

    *Don't say Limey Man*

    Straight Arrow? Longshaft? Arrowman?

  13. Lmao @ Longshaft....lol My mind is in the gutter I know I know. Lol.

And King of Comedy is fine with me. :D

  14. I guess I'm OK with the King of Comedy, although I do like The Troublemaker more...

As for Nagash, if you don't take Longshaft, I most definitely will!

  15. Lol Crap I should've taken that name. Lmao, X you're gonna take Longshaft eh? May wanna re-phrase that.

I changed my mind, I wanna be the Clown Prince of Comics. Bwahahahah

  16. Lmao. Oh my immature mind. X you made my night. "If you don't take Longshaft, I most definitely will!" lol.

JT, I will take Longshaft too! :D

Okay. I'm going to sleep now. lol. night!

  17. Damn you and your dirty mind JT!!! No, I'm not gonna take Longshaft, I'm gonna... Ah forget it! :D

For that one JT, as the King of Comics, I'm going to make you my official court jester. So I have spoken, so it shall be done!

  18. Lol you set yourself up X, what else do you expect from the King of Comedy.

Lol well since I'm a jester that still makes me the king of comedy. Shall it be written, shall it be done. *throws a pie in your face*

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hmm, do you know what they do to court jesters who throw pies in the face of THE King??? They lock them up in the dungeons! Or have them decapitated... Which one would you prefer my friend? :p

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lol I'd prefer to wipe the pie of your face and say i was aiming at your Knight, Sir Kello.

And methinks someone's a little too into their role as a human noble, eh Mr. Dragon Age? :P

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ha! Well played court jester... Well played indeed!

Only while blogging. I'm not very noble-ish in Dragon Age. I hardly ever flaunt my heritage or status as a Grey Warden... HARDLY ever.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thank you sire *bows*

I flaunt mine all the time. "Out of the way bitches, Grey Warden in the houssse!" Lol just kidding, but I'm the same way. I never even mention it unless someone asks.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You know, if there was an option to say, "Out of the way bitches, Grey Warden in the houssse!" I'd be terribly tempted to say it!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dude that's ALL I'd say. I'd say it to everyone, even other Grey Wardens. Except Morrigan because she kinda scares me...

    ReplyDelete
  25. That would be awesome, especially if you could say it at the beginning of the game with Duncan! He'd be like, "So you've survived the ritual." While you're all, "Out of the way bitches, Grey Warden in the houssse!" Yeah, I'd guess that Duncan wouldn't be very excited to be taking YOU into battle with him!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lmao. It'd be more funny if you said it then passed out from the Joining. That'd be soooo epic. Hell I don't wanna go into battle with Duncan, he ended up all dead.
