Crisis on Infinite Earths #8(Nov. 1985)

Don't worry, this is the last Crisis on Infinite Earths Firestorm post I'll be doing. Oh, and just in case you didn't know, this comic is also where Barry Allen didn't die!

  1. Wow, check out Vixen rocking the Wolverine hairdo...

  2. Ha, I don't know WHAT the hell she was thinking there!

  3. Lol not her best choice... I also didn;t know she used to be THE Vixen..

  4. Heh, I guess that's like, *dramatic pause* THE Batman!!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. *Gasp* The Batman?! I love how only he really uses the. No, The Superman, The Wonder Woman, well... The Flash I guess.

  6. Ha, you had me laughing at, "The Superman"... Imagine if he walked into the Daily Planet the first time and was like, "Call me THE Superman!" Hmm, THE Superman actually makes him seem kind of egotistical...

My all time favorite comic book introduction for somebody is definitely, "Men call me... Magneto!" Whenever I read that I can't help but laugh! I mean, who talks like that?!? And of course my smart-ass remark back to him would have to be, "And what do women call you?"

  7. Lol @ Call me THE Superman. That's hilarious just because it's so truly arrogant. Also "Men call me... Magneto!" Who the hell called him that? Was he just terrorizing the city and someone yelled "Oh sh*t, run, it's Magneto!!!"

Also I feel like that would go like this:
Random Guy: Yeah well what do the women call you?
    Magneto: .... God!
*Then he zaps the dude to dust.* Lol

  8. "Who the hell called him that?" That's the question! I guess men? :p I can't remember the exact comic, but I remember Mags introducing himself to somebody like that and I was nearly rolling on the floor... I should totally go around introducing myself to people like that... "Men call me... *dramatic pause* X-Man75!"

"Random Guy: Yeah well what do the women call you?
    Magneto: .... God!"
If Mags would have used that line, he would now and forever be not only my favorite character, but THE GREATEST CHARACTER IN THE HISTORY OF COMIC BOOKS!!!!!!

  9. Lol @ Men. Well played X. Lol I'd love to see you start a post like that. :P

Lol see If I wrote Magneto he'd be epic. He's use his powers to compress people between two huge metal items like a trash compactor. Then he'd go find more women to call him God. Lol

  10. Damn it, I TOTALLY should have used that with tonight's reviews!!! Damn... Tomorrow is the random comic scan of the week, so I can't use it there... Hmm, maybe I'll see if I can find that comic and post it. Sure, it won't be very "random", but it would be relevant since we're talking about it, right?

Dude, I'd love your Magneto! He's already one of my favorite villains, you'd put him right over the top!

  11. Lol I actually used it on the other blog in a comment. :P Here's hoping you can find that not-that-random comic scan.

Lol well thank ya, I already proved I can take bendis' job, or at least some stuff Yost used to write...

  12. Blast you for beating me to the punch JT!!! *Shakes fist angrily at computer screen* Sorry, I'm still in that whole, overly dramatic super-villain mode thanks to Magneto!

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's fine. For once I've beat you to the punch, and you finally have your comeuppance! Your Comeuppance!!! Bwahahahaha. Look's like I've also caught Magnitis...

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Magnitis"? Wow that sounds like something I'd never want to come down with...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lol from the name what do you think it consists of?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dude, I don't WANT to even guess what that disease would consist of!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Lol we'll just say when he pulls the iron out of your body slowly... as long as it's not a Magneto STD I'm happy...

    ReplyDelete
  18. A Magneto STD?!? I don't know what I could possibly respond to that with! You've done the near impossible and left me at a loss for words JT! :-I

  19. Lol Woooo I win this round. I love how this conversation started about Vixen's hair and now look where it's ended up at.

    ReplyDelete
  20. HA! Yeah, how the HELL did we get from Vixen's hair to a Magneto themed STD?!? I tell ya, some of these conversations of ours are classic!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lol right? They just jump around. Remember that one time we just randomly started picking our own JLA teams?

    ReplyDelete
  22. There's no controlling us OR our conversations... I'm fine with that. Why try to fight it, just go along with the flow...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Exactly dude, as a matter of fact I'm gonna jump with the convo and ask, as a bachelor and college student do you know how to cook, and if so what?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Do I know how to cook? The best I can do is boil water and use a microwave! Unless it's something idiot-proof(like the George Foreman Grill)I can't make/cook with it! As for my specialty, let's say mac and cheese, cheese burgers and... um, toast?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Woooooooo I can't even make those. Check you out. My specialties are Ramen Noodles, canned spaghetti, Hotdogs & Pork & beans, salmon patties and um... thats it. Oh and Cereal.

Wish I knew how to make mac and cheese and cheese burgers, I know that impresses ALL the ladies haha.

  26. "Wish I knew how to make mac and cheese and cheese burgers, I know that impresses ALL the ladies haha." Sadly, they're not all that impressed...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lol they better be happy their eating ANYTHING. Because they COULD be getting a bottle of water and a peppermint. Lol don't tell Falisha I said that...

    ReplyDelete
  28. A bottle of water and a peppermint?!? HA!!! Oh, and that last line had me cracking up! Don't worry, I won't say a thing... Just don't try to give her a peppermint and a bottle of water at a romantic dinner and everything will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lol I'd never do that. I only mean for the ungrateful ones. Then they'll be BEGGING for Cheeseburgers and Mac and Cheese.

Random question but I just remembered we're around the same height, so do you play any sports or anything? I'm not a big sports guy myself although I do like playing football.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was never really one for organized sports of any kind. I was always more into video games. With that said though, I'm surprisingly active, which is why I like hanging out on my parents property during the summer. Since they have so much land, and since most of it is on an incline, I brought myself a mountain bike that I keep there so I can ride all over the place. I'm OK at Basketball, pretty good at baseball/whiffleball but I'm kind of a spaz at football... It's embarassing how much better my little brother can throw a football compared to me... I mean, he throws the tighest spiral, while when I throw it, it wobbles through the air and lands like 10 feet in front of me...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Lol I'm the same way, I can't throw at all but since I'm a big guy it's harder to take me down, and I'm surprisingly quick for my weight and height so that's my best sport. I can't even ride a bike though lol.
