Justice League of America #0(Sept. 2006)

I had to include SOMETHING from Brad Meltzer's fantastic JLA run during Wonder Woman week...

  1. I LOVED this comic but it confused the hell outta me. Like some of the stuff that happened hasn't happened yet so does that mean it will eventually or what?

  2. You know, JT, it was actually kind of cool to go through this comic again, because some of the stuff in it like Pa Kent's death did actually happen. Most of it is from the far-flung future and as such hasn't happened yet(like the awesome scene of Lex Luthor THRASHING the Trinity)or just plain won't happen.

However, going through this comic made me shake my head at just how amazing a storyteller Brad is... Some scenes(like the one I posted or the Jason Tood one)are just SO full of emotion... After reading the Jason Todd conversation scene(which was only one page)I felt SO bad for Bats. Brad can grab a reader better then anybody else I'd have to say.

  3. Brad Meltzer is THE man. :) And nice choice in showing Wonder Woman AND Bruce's soft side. They both are so hard core it's hard to imagine them vulnerable. Especially Bruce, he's so hush hush about his feelings.

He needs a woman like Diana to make him become one with himself and calm and serene. lol.

  4. I'm going to stand up for the segment of the population who doesn't like Meltzer's work on JLA. I thought the Tornado's Path was forgettable, and I especially hated how Red Arrow and Hawkgirl got together.

  5. ouch! Kello that one stung a little bit. Lol. It's all good though. I kind of agree about the Red Arrow and Hawkgirl getting together situation. Just didn't seem like it fit right.

  6. Sorry Kello, but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one... Does anybody ever DIS-respectfully disagree with another person? Anyway, I loved everything about Brad's all too short JLA run, from his first issue to his last. I was even OK with Roy and Hawkgirl getting together.

  7. I didn't really care about Roy and Hawkgirl getting together since we know she ALWAYS has to end up with Hawkman so I looked at it with a passing glance. Also I kinda liked Tornado's path, but like Kello said it is pretty forgettable. Only thing I remember is Vixen crushing that android dude who's name I can't remember, and Tornado getting his arm eaten.
